Nestled in the heart of Pall Mall, IoD stands Searcy's Restaurant and bar as a testament to grandeur and sophistication. This magnificent space, illuminated by the gentle embrace of natural light, showcases the splendour of classical architecture. Each detail, from the ornate mouldings to the plush furnishings and the huge portraits of past royals, echoes a bygone era of elegance, seamlessly blending with the modern-day necessity for comfort and functionality.
Central to this exquisite setting is a grand piano, its presence not just an adornment but a source of soulful melodies that fill the room. The classical music, ever so gently, fosters an ambience conducive to deep focus and creativity, whether you're engrossed in work or lost in thought.
Amidst this backdrop of architectural beauty and melodic tranquillity, the team led by Cintya, with Sanjay and Temi, shines brightly. Their impeccable service and genuine warmth add a personal touch to the majestic surroundings, making every visit memorable. Temi, with her charming smile and welcoming nature, ensures that every guest feels not just seen, but truly valued. From where I am sitting today, I can see the nice coaching and healthy team work between these three and must admit, it is contagiously nice distraction :)
This blend of historical grandeur, musical harmony, and heartfelt hospitality makes IoD Pall Mall, especially Searcy's area not just a place to visit, but an experience to cherish. Whether you're there for a brisk business meeting or a day's worth of contemplation and work, the setting, enriched by the team's dedicated service, promises an atmosphere of unparalleled elegance and...
Read moreLEaving IoD Now: It has become a fishmarket unfortunately. They pick up your laptop if unattended for 20 minutes since they want everyone to eat in their canteen ! No notice - just vanished and spent 1 hour trying to find it.. Past update2: Complaints are not handled properly - excuses are made. only objective of IoD is to sell more. Not really a networking spot anymore. Past update3 : Disappointed in the customer service here today. In spite of giving great ratings last time sad to leave this bad review. They keep on charging extras without informing customers . Eg 3.80 for a cup of tea and then charge extra because I wanted a strong tea, another tea bag. Same thing is with the additional discretionary spend added to your bill without permission .12.5 %. I tip often 20£ or more but today was a bad experience. Not sure will continue here unless this is fixed. Ps: the teabags were never charged twice before hence surprised not of the cost of teabags but the way this person shouted as if it is my mistake. Just frustrated today horrible...
Read moreI had a really lovely Afternoon Tea at this gorgeous building on Saturday. Really nice atmosphere, airy and light yet atmospheric with lovely Christmas decorations. Fab service and a really great take on a traditional Afternoon Tea. I had a starter - smoked turkey rillette; the savoury course had delicious coronation chicken in brioche buns, cucumber and chive cream cheese finger sandwich and a hot smoked salmon quiche. Then, the Scones, jam or cream first? Then, the Pastries! a Christmas-themed cranberry and orange eclair, Christmas Battenberg and Searcy's signature Victoria which was beautiful to look at and a really pleasant taste. All with champagne of course. Very generous portions, a good selection of teas and great value for money....
