I am 35 years old and the last time i visited here was when i was 3. Today i went with my 7 year old son a disabled 23 year old and a collegue. Both the disabled toilet and baby change toilet were no bins and no light! I even asked a maintenance man about the light and he looked up at the ceiling and said no it doesnt work! (we knew that)!!! he was not at all helpful did not apologies or suggest anything but just walked away.
In the centre of the maze was a small tower allowing you to see above the maze. This is in disrepair. The sides were missing and my son nearly fell through. this should be fixed or shut to the public. I understand its been there for 15 years but keep it safe!

Read moreLovely four and a half miles long green space with a viaduct by Brunel overhead. 2 playgrounds, football pitches, a wee (millennium) maze next to a wee zoo known as the Bunny Park aka Hanwell Zoo. Wide open natural land space to let your dogs and children let off steam. Great place for picnics. There's also a café and some rather grotty toilets. The River Brent runs through it and you can walk up to Greenford Bridge or down to Brentford Lock and the River Thames from Hanwell Bridge opposite The Viaduct pub and follow the towpath on the Brent which in turn takes you onto the towpath of The Grand Union Canal. The series of locks along this stretch are called Hanwell Flight and considered an ancient monument. There is also Three Bridges which are three bridges built one above the other and is considered one of Brunel's engineering masterpieces. There's also a cricket club, golf course and the delightful, aesthetically pleasing 12th century St Mary's C of E Church which gives it a chocolate box view from different angles. Popular with the locals and suitable...
Read moreOur second visit to a Brent Lodge Park in 4 years. This park is such a beautiful piece of land. We went to Hanwell Zoo where we were met with animals such as Pink/red flamingos, red leaf cutting ants and the most gorgeous red crown birds (forgotten their names). The staff were very kind and on this occasion there was a large inflatable slide and bouncing castle (£3). Prices for the zoo were around £5 for adults and around £2.50 for children over 5 (I think). You can re-enter the zoo at anytime with the receipt which is handy if you want to visit the cafe (just outside the zoo) or the play area. The zip-line ride is really cool, surrounded by a healthy amount of well-maintained grass. Perfect for a little picnic, relaxation or a spot of yoga if that’s your vibe. A GREAT day out! Oh and the car park is free! But check the closing time as you might get locked in. A be...
