Highams Park Lake — Attraction in London

Great place to visit ! Although right now - I am unable to walk there as it takes a clear 2 hour round trip & we are only allowed 1 hour exercise per day...which is sad. When I've been, it is very pleasant with rocks and pure clear water. Very tranquil with swans, ducks and other types of birds on the Lake and nearby. The River Ching is just next to the Lake and forms a rivene. The banks are wooded and many tree roots and changing levels of surface would probably put elderly walkers off who were not...

Beautiful park with plenty of scopes to enjoy with kids. The lake is surrounded by woodland. Very calming while walking in the nature. There are ducks, fish and other wild life in the lake which kids enjoy. Fishing is free, no advance booking needed. The park is big enough to have picnic. It has a playground for kids of various age. There is a cafe in the corner which is open till 5pm. The park is clean and well maintained, big bin provided in different corner. Parking is free in the street....

Amazing place....lived nearby for years and never new this place existed! Lovely big lake with walks all round through beautiful shady woods. Water in the lake was clear with loads of wildlife to see....ducks, geese, parakeets overhead and lots of fish!! Great place for a walk. There is a cafe in an area of parkland adjacent to the woods and lake, but didn't try it as looked busy...but will try on a weekday. Overall, great place for a stroll in...
