Don’t buy from Ikea any more ! We bought whole kitchen from Ikea after two months ago and still my kitchen is not finished. We are going through with the service and the availability of the item. 1st we went to Ikea Milton Keynes and got the design of the kitchen. And then we went to Wembley Ikea and change the design and they gave us a link to pay. So, when we did the order, that time no one said if the few cabinet doors was not in stock. But then when we got our delivery, few items were over and some was missing and some was white and some black shelfs colour as few of them was out of stock and two damage door and we have wrong door size as well. After that they came to collect it and then they send us new delivery and pick the one which was wrong. and the 2nd delivery they bring wrong items, wrong colours and two cupboards and 2 drawers' doors was missing. And when we contacts they said it’s out of stock in the Uk.Now we have already fitted 90% of our kitchen and some of the items are not available and saying they are out of stock.

This is ridiculous service. If there is not enough stock available, why the staff placed an order for whole kitchen. We ordered and we are in the position where our kitchen is not ready yet, we are struggling a lot with a mess in the house. Now for the 3 rd time we have to send everything back and we will get everything new and we have to change the colour, but we wanted brown walnut with black shelf which we have to change to white shelf. Due to this we have to order food from outside every day and ended up spending too much money on food. If this is not considered as a priority, I will never recommend anyone to buy anything from Ikea and suffer like us. Your staff saying to wait more than 3 weeks to order the remaining parts outside the UK. So how much longer we have to wait, if not come I will refund everything.I make complain but nobody responds to me anything . I think...

Terrible Customer Service Experience at the Store

The customer service in this store is appalling. The sales staff show complete indifference, looking straight through you as if you don’t exist. The product return process is absolutely dreadful.

I had to return just two small items that didn’t fit, yet I ended up waiting 50 minutes with a number. I have never seen such disgraceful service. Out of eight return desks, only four were open. And this was on a weekday, at 11 in the morning! Around forty people were crowded in line, but not a single manager came out to assist or to open more return counters. It felt like nobody cared how long customers had to wait.

Everything moved at a painfully slow pace. The staff at the desk took ages to process each return, going through every little detail. To make matters worse, all inquiries are now handled by the same ticket system—whether you’re returning an item or just have a quick question, you’re forced to wait together by number.

The system seems deliberately designed so that if you’re returning something small and inexpensive—something you quickly regret buying—you’ll likely give up and leave, unwilling to waste an hour just to get £5–7 back. People see the long wait, turn around, and decide it’s not worth it.

I can’t tell if this dreadful service is unique to this if all Ikea branches are now like this. When I asked the cashier why it was so bad, she had nothing to say except a repeated, “Sorry.” It seems the staff are only trained to apologize, not to actually solve problems.

No one cares about the customers or the time they’re losing. At this point, it feels safer to buy only if you’re absolutely sure you won’t need to return the item—or else try another store, though who knows if it will...

I am extremely disappointed about the customer service I have received today. after an incredible experience earlier this week, it is very disappointing to see that the qualifications across the team members are not the same. we have received an order today including a malm dresser which comes in 3 boxes. one of the boxes (#1) has been received twice together with box #3. therefore box #2 is missing. now we will have to wait 2 weeks for the boxes to be exchanged which is extremely disappointing as we will be travelling and need the dresser this weekend. the guy from customer service did not understand the issue at all and was not able to provide an alternative solution here. ⁃ perhaps box #1 and #2 have the same content and reshipping may not be necessary? ⁃ I also asked to get a refund instead and keep the pickup for in 2 weeks, but at the same time reorder the dresser to receive it quicker. this was not possible and apparently the delivery fees could also not be refunded. ⁃ I also would have appreciated an apology on behalf of ikea however the person I spoke to just seemed annoyed. Update: The way this issue is being handled is an absolute joke. After several negotiations, we have been promised to receive the replacement today 11.10, however for no reason IKEA has to reschedule to next week. We only found out by calling them ourselves. Honestly thanks for nothing at this point! I have been a customer for my entire life and will definitely no longer shop at your stores. Update: This case has now been passed on to a lawyer. Ridiculous considering it could have been solved so easily.

What can be said about IKEA other than that it's become something of a national institution - some might say a mental institution - in which teeming crowds are willing to pass a lot of time and spend shedloads of money in the hope of making homes look a little bit better? Neasden IKEA, for years the main cause of lengthy tailbacks on the North Circular, remains much as it ever was. The joke used to be that there was only one way in and, if you could find it, only one way out. Nowadays they give you a Paris Metro-style board to show you the sections that you should walk through (all of them), with the odd shortcut in dotted lines, in order to get out of the place. Personally I honestly can't think of a worse way to spend New Year's Day than to be tooling around looking at things we don't really need. However, the family dictates otherwise, so here we are. *shrugs* The choice of things - and they are just that, things - is bewildering, all labelled with mildly-amusing names. We came out with a rug. This shouldn't have taken long to find, but the correct size was buried amongst all the others in a way which made them all look the same. IKEA's restaurant is set out in much the same way as a motorway service area. If you like Scandwegian mass-catering, this is for you. All the healthy eating options are here, apart from the fish 'n chips which were quite overdone on the day, rendered fibrous and stringy as a result. The staff, at least, are helpful and make Neasden a bit bearable. IKEA pays them relatively well. There are worse places to work.
