Afters - Ilford — Restaurant in London

I went here with my sister and we both got waffles with strawberries and bananas and icrecream. My one was good, however, while my sister was eating she found a hair which she lifted and checked if it actually was a hair. And in fact it was, and while all of this was happening the guy at the till looked at us and smiled… and he walked away. Me and my sister were shocked because he ignored the situation and chose to walk away. Then we called him and he said they will bring us another one as a replacement (which is a mistake we did because we should have just gotten a refund). While waiting i look at the same waffle again and I find another long hair and this time it wasn’t just in top of it but it was literally tangled with the chocolate and straberries. (Pictures) When we confronted the girl who made our orders and served us and told her we found another hair in that same plate, we both saw that she got angry at us instead of apologising. We suggested to wear a chef hat to avoid contamination and maintain food quality but as mentioned before, the waitress got angry at us and started saying non sense excuses (she said “yesterday was busy” how is that even related to today?) and never apologised. The ice cream quality is good and and it’s not over pricy. The only problem I had was they over charged me the 1st time I went there. I only realised it when left the shop. On my 2nd visit they overcharged again but I corrected them right at the till. they said we added wafer cone instead of normal cone which I didn’t even ask for. I though it might be a mere human error or miscommunication but guess what On my 3rd visit they over charged again. Last Sunday Was my 4th visit with preconceived mind that they will follow their overcharging routine. I took the menu and pointed the finger on the menu and said I need this 1) £1.95 one, 2) £2.45 one and 3) £3.75 one. But with No surprise the bill came to £10.75. Now you guys can do the math. I corrected them again and then they corrected the bill to £8.15. And by the way no apology on all occasions. Ordered 2 milkshakes (Oreo & Bounty) for takeaway, waited approximately 30 minutes. Have to say the milkshake was really nice and I was given a large instead of a regular to compensate for my wait. The reason for a low scoring is because there were approximately 10 people waiting for their orders and the manager decided to put all orders on hold to accommodate for his friend who had just walked in. One gentlemen ordered a single mango shake and had been waiting longer then me, understandably he got annoyed and asked the manager if they could speed up the service as he had to be somewhere else at which point the manager responded by shouting at the man and telling him to take a refund and leave, this is inappropriate especially in a environment full of children and groups of families. I feel as a business this is completely unethical and gives the impression that you don't value your customers. I really hope the management read this and reflect on their actions in order to improve their service for...
