I visited the store to purchase snacks and had an unacceptable experience of racial profiling. When I asked an employee named Usman where the tortilla chips were located, he inexplicably informed me that I was banned from the store. Initially, I thought he was joking, but he escalated the situation by calling over his colleague Shimul, who appeared equally confused.
Usman claimed that there were photos of me “upstairs” and that I had been banned due to being stopped by him three times—an assertion that is completely false, as I work next door and have never been stopped by him or anyone else.
