We had a very mixed experience during our latest visit to this lounge but ultimately were left disappointed. The initial greeting from the front desk staff was warm and friendly. Food choices were fine, but nothing to write home about. All comfortable seating seemed to be reserved but many seats remained unoccupied during the 2.5 hours we were there which was frustrating.
However the service and behaviour from the bar staff was really poor and the worst part of the experience. We received our first three drinks without problem, but on returning to the bar for another round my colleague was told that he could only be served a maximum of two drinks because it was busy (it wasn’t). Rather than argue the toss, he returned with the two drinks, explained what had happened, so I proceeded to the bar to order my drink. Firstly, it was abruptly pointed out to me that other customers (all two of them) were queuing at the end of the bar for drinks. I suggested that I would wait where I was but not jump in front of others which was reluctantly accepted. I mean, who forms a queue at one end of a bar? Isn’t the purpose of a bar that people stand, sit (there are bar stools), and spread themselves out for service? Any decent bar person should have a pretty good idea of who is next and if there’s any doubt ask “who’s next please?”. I can only imagine that the bar person was either allergic to alcohol or contact with alcohol was against their religion. Whilst serving the person before me they managed to splash beer on their exposed forearm and quickly interrupted the service to remove their blue disposable gloves, wash and dry their arms, and put on a new pair of gloves. In my opinion this is utterly ridiculous. If there is a reason why you can’t have contact with alcohol then I suggest a bar job is not for you and management should be considering this when employing or assigning duties in this airport lounge.

Thr worst customer experience I have ever faced in a lounge around the world while dealing with major issues.
I faced an issue as they have put a misleading food label for a kind of their wrap sandwiches as a "Chicken Caesar Salad wrap" and when I startwd to consume it I discovered it has bacon in the ingredients not only chicken. Politely I have asked them to change the labeling and add the word "bacon" so this issue doesn't repeat with somebody else. The barista who I was talking to brought a lady to talk to me and understand the issue, she just wanted me to keep silent and asked me to check the nutrition on the webaite for the allergy and so on. When I visited their official website I discovered that the item name is "Chicken & Bacon Caesar salad wrap" meaning that the issue is in the label and item name as I highlighted, the lady started to be more rude until another lady and her English family heared me and my issue and she stayed in my side as she also does not eat bacon and consumed the sandwich by mistake. All what I needed to change the label not to repeat the issue with other people. When the lady found that she is unable to provide any help she brought Mr. Marian who has identified himself as the manager and he was really so polite and he promised to check. After some minutes he came to us in person explaining that the issue was highlighted 2 weeks before asking the management for different labels when a passenger has also complained before! so the issue was known to them abd as a temporary solution he said that he will add the word "bacon" manually immediately. I thanked him for his way and effort done but until I left the lounge 3 hours later the label was the same and the service plate kept refilling with nothing changed! Read moreVisited the No1 Lounge at London Heathrow Terminal 3 today. As a Dragonpass holder I would normally just turn up and get in however with the airport being so busy now I decided to pre-book to avoid any issues. I was so glad I did as there were lots of people in the terminal and a small queue to get into this clearly popular lounge. So well worth paying the £5 booking fee.
Lounge is very spacious with a nice selection of areas to sit and relax. There are single sofa seats, cafe style seating and larger sofas for families and group. Nice viewing area out onto the runway and with modern decor and styling. Most seating options have power sockets close to hand to plug in your electronics. There is even a cinema space which allows you to sit back and watch a film.
There is a huge bar which you can get your drinks from and with at bar seating if you prefer. A decent sized buffet area where at my time of visiting in the morning was serving full English breakfast which was all fresh and very tasty. Coffee, tea and soft drinks available to grab in the self serve area as well as a filtered water tap which is great for filling up a water bottle. Plenty of pastries also to enjoy.
Lounge accommodates children and a number of couples were enjoying the space with very young babies. Kids defo enjoyed the food!
Very clean, fully air conditioned and relaxing space, just what you need before a transatlantic flight. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
Highly recommend, however I would suggest you pre-book to avoid disappointment. If not you will likely be placed in a virtual queue and then get a text to say when or if you can enter. Fee to get in was around £38 if you don’t hold a membership like...
