I attended for the inaugural concert of the new Skrabl organ which had been long-delayed due to Covid. It was well worth waiting for. Monsignor Jim was the host and a mighty fine job he did too. He was very warm and welcoming, with a wonderful aura of peace and serenity - a thoroughly lovely man and he really set the evening off well. His introduction of Master French organist Olivier Latry (of Notre Dame de Paris) was superb, as was his closing address. The building is beautiful, typically excellent acoustics found in large RC churches with modest fabrics, minimal but warm surroundings and a wonderfully serene place to be with excellent soft lighting. As l walked up the walkway to the church from Olympia on the right side, l missed the church and found the Church of England, St Mary Abbot. I was redirected to OLV, then l noticed l walked passed it as it is located recessed. I could only meet consecration time. Please could a sign post be placed facing the pedestrians?
