I had visited Burger & Lobster once upon a time an eternity ago, when they had first opened and were drawing in big queues. I think it was ok at the time, but it’s honestly too long ago to remember. I didn’t have a particular interest in going back, but when they opened this High Street Ken location just a few minutes from where I live I thought that was a good excuse to return.
I visited for lunch on a Sunday. The venue has been nicely done up and me and the family were seated in a comfy booth. We ordered a couple of burgers for the kids and both myself and the wife tried the lobster roll / burger combo. It was nice to have the combo options available as I imagine many people would like to try more than one of their signature items. By the way they do scale down the size of each item to make it a suitable portion size. We also tried the lobster croquettes as a starter, and the creme brûlée as well as some ice cream for dessert. The food was mostly average. Within the combo, the burger was definitely quite mediocre. I did enjoy the buttery toasted roll accompanying the lobster but the lobster itself was nothing to get excited about, and also a very modest portion in its scaled down form.
Service was friendly but a bit slow at times. Our initial order was confidently taken by a server who didn’t write anything down - and guess what, she forgot to put our drinks order in with these ultimately only arriving after a couple of follow ups and halfway through our meal. It was also difficult to get the attention of staff from our booth location as we were out of view.
The bill for the 4 of us came to £182 of which £48 was spent on drinks. Overall I came in with fairly low expectations and I left with a similar impression. That said it could still be a suitable option for families visiting Holland Park (which is right next door). They have a kid friendly menu and our kids did enjoy the meal. But on a more general level I wouldn’t...

So, our family of six arrived at Burgers and Lobster for the first time, and let me tell you, it was awesome! The hostess was super friendly right off the bat, which was a great start to the evening. You could just tell they really care about making you feel welcome.
Following the awsomd welcome, another stsr of the night was shining Herrera! This guy was on fire – so energetic and just took amazing care of all of us. He had great recommendations, was always there when we needed him, and just made the whole dinner feel special. Seriously, Herrera is a rockstar and totally made our night unforgettable. Big shoutout to him!
Now, about the food – delicious and totally worth it! We kicked things off with some appetizers: Calamari, Prawns, Sweet Potatoes, and Corn Ribs. Everything was so tasty and perfectly sized. Then we ordered Roll Combos and a Lobster Caesar Salad for our mains. Everything was super fresh and flavorful, and the prices were totally fair for what you get. Great value all around!
Oh, and here's a little secret for anyone looking for a bit more privacy: there's this one table with a curtain around it, like a mini private room. It wasn't really our thing, but it's a cool option if you're into that kind of vibe.
All in all, our trip to Burgers and Lobster was fantastic. Great food, awesome service, and just a really good time. And a huge thank you to the Floor Manager for stopping by our table to make sure everythingwentOK! It's clear they're doing an amazing job, because the whole team, especially Herrera, was on point. We're definitely...
Read moreI’m a huge fan of burger and lobster and only a couple of weeks ago we went to the Soho location and I was mightily impressed. This time however, we decided to go to the Kensington High Street location as it was closer, and we arrived at approximately 12:10 - right when it opened. Obviously it wasn’t busy and we were offered a choice of seating. The gentleman who served us was pleasant but the service was poor and by that I mean; items were either missing (mac and cheese) or wrong (fries instead of sweet potato fries) from our order. I was asked how I liked my burger (medium) and was given a well done Pattie (see pic), my lobster which I absolutely loved at Soho was tough and overcooked. The drinks were nice - although there was ALOT of crushed ice. We wasn’t provided with any salt/pepper or offered any condiments, I had to ask for barbecue sauce which I was then charged £2 for. Again, the server was nice just not very good or attentive, the food wasn’t cooked well nor to our liking. The restaurant was not busy, so I dread to think how downhill the service goes during busy periods. Pros; the restaurant itself is very attractive, comfy seats, feels spacious but unfortunately we won’t be coming back to...
