Let me get straight into it with a post which I also highlighted on a review on TripAdvisor and I stand by it so will absolutely post wherever I can review them as they really deserve the feedback. This place is absolutely amazing. I recently visit from Ireland and safe to say I was delighted I made the time for myself to get out to here. It is actually easily locatable with public transport however the day I arrived for my booking I had managed to get super lost. I made some incorrect transport judgements and managed to end up diverting myself away from the location but Victoria was incredibly nice and super accommodating, calling me personally to tell me that she was happy for me to arrive later than stated of I cared to still make my way there. She also advised me of the correct train to get and to chill and take my time when getting there. Safe to say it was exactly what I needed to hear to calm down my lost nervousness and relax to continue my trip there.
When I got there, Victoria greeted me, showed me around and offered teas and refreshments that were available to enjoy.
The sauna is INCREDIBLE! It is a beautifully hot temperature and was delightfully set regularly with fresh logs to continue the temperature at a wonderful height. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed setting and welcome.
The cold plunge is exactly what you would hope for, cold! Safe to say it took me a while to brave the storm of it but after regular returns to the sauna within that one booking, I enjoyed both sauna and plunge regularly during my time.
I have to say a special shout out to Daisy who warmed my soul and heart with her lovely personality. She not only mentally boosted my confidence for enjoying the plunge but she hyped me up to feel so refreshed and was super chill and chatty about travel which I really enjoy and had great craic talking to her about. I could not speak any higher than the wonderful welcome that I have received has just been next to none with this service and the staff.
I was solo on this trip, and was solo attending the sauna but I got talking with a lovely other solo girl who was a hardcore sauna dweller and the friendship alone I made with this other girl had me feeling like it's definitely the environment with the type of people I like to be surrounded by. It meant a lot to me that they went above and beyond for accomodations on my booking in spite of being late.
I cannot wait to return again when I make an reappearance in February time.
Highly recommend both Sauna service and service providers.
Big hugs to you...
Read moreI left a five star review following my first visit to Sweheat back in October – but I felt that it was only right to come back and share a further review based on regular visits (several times a month) and incorporating sauna bathing into my life. • My initial visit back in October was not a one-off five star experience: Every visit has been consistently brilliant – even when I’ve arrive not really in the mood for a sauna, I have always left feeling on top of the world. Kudos to Victoria and her team! • I’ve visited Sweheat when it’s been busy as well as when it’s been quiet. I did have some reservations about how the changing area would work with lots of people – but it just does! Everyone is respectful and everything works out. • Over time, I have been able to better manage stress, my cortisol levels and other perimenopausal symptoms. I can honestly testify that my mood has been generally better since I started going to Sweheat on a regular basis. • While I am not a heavy drinker, I was looking to cut back a bit. Sweheat is a great alternative to the pub: it’s time spent away from scrolling social media and there is usually a good conversation going on...
Read moreI was fortunate enough to experience a gorgeously scented and sweet-sounding wood-fired sauna ceremony session with Sweheat.
The location was easy to find and accurately described with video clips on the website. The changing room was very clean and the steam bath staff were friendly and helpful.
With copious amounts of experience, enthusiasm, skill, and kindness Isabella and Victoria conjured up and led us on a magical multi-sensory journey.
Beautiful natural ingredients were used throughout for infusions, and whisking, with handmade skin scrubs that smelt good enough to eat. The sauna was complimented with a plunge pool that took your breath away.
Above all Isabella and Victoria have created a welcoming and inclusive space where for a few hours you can let your cares drift away and be yourself amongst the company of a lovely mix of chilled fellow steam lovers.
Fantastic to see Sauna culture progressing in the UK, especially with such a strong community focus. I would...
