I attended the match with my father and brother, who travelled from abroad specifically to experience a Premier League match in London. Upon arriving at Gate 12, we were stopped by security staff and asked which team we supported. We explained clearly that we were neutral fans, simply there to enjoy the match.

Mr. Benton then asked to see our tickets, took photos of them, stepped aside for approximately two minutes, and returned to inform us that our tickets had been cancelled and that we would not be permitted to enter. The explanation was what we first said what we are Chelsea Fans , despite us requesting it. We also asked if alternative seating could be arranged if the issue was related to seating allocation, but this request was rejected without consideration.

What made this situation particularly upsetting was the rude, dismissive, and unprofessional manner in which Mr. Benton communicated with us. We were given no support, no clear reasoning, and no effort was made to help us resolve the situation. Instead, we were simply turned away.

As genuine football fans who travelled specifically for this experience, this treatment was extremely disappointing and ruined what should have been a special day for our family. It is difficult to understand how an individual demonstrating such behaviour holds a position of responsibility in guest-facing security at a major Premier League club.

I kindly request the following: A formal explanation of why our tickets were cancelled after arrival. Confirmation of the security policy applied in this situation. Assurance that guests — especially neutral and international visitors — are treated with professionalism and courtesy in the future. Information regarding compensation or ticket replacement options, as we lost the full value of the matchday experience.
