Turkish kebab blackheath — Attraction in London

Me and my friend first time visited this restaurant on 11/05/2025 and we bought a lamb doner to take away. We went to the restaurant at lunch time. We drove from East Ham to Blackheath. We were hungry and we searched for Turkish food in google map and it shows few option of restaurants but we chose this restaurant and we decided to try their food. So we drove to the restaurant.

When we went to inside the restaurant we were greeted with smiles and also we were welcomed by the staff very nicely. We asked him that we wanted large Doner Kebab. The staff who serving us was wonderful and he was getting ready to make our Doner kebab.

The place is hygienic clean and what you see is what you receive. The staff are friendly and the food saved in the hygienic way. Food gloves on and also saw the staff clean the table after each customer left.

The doner kebab tastes little bit salty and little bit Small portions where we got charged for large portions of doner kebab. Over I have enjoyed the doner kebab despite being little bit small portions and bit salty.

I wouldn’t mind coming to this restaurant to try their other options of the food.

My request would be if they could kindly reduce the doner kebab price or they should add more doner kebab in the large portions as I feel it was not enough in the boxes.

It genuinely upsets me to leave this feedback but I feel like I'm left with no choice. Our family have been a fan of the place almost since the opening day, because the kebabs are normally fresh and very delicious, and the staff are lovely too. Today my experience was radically different. Our lamb kebab was rancid and sour just like any other meat would be when it goes way past use by date. And so was tomato chilli sauce, it has gone off and it was very obvious, literally inedible. I ended up binning my whole order. I totally get that these things happen, we've had some very warm days and it's not too many customers right now. I get that. What I do not get though is the incredibly rude response I received when called the shop to share the experience. I was told in a rather aggressive manner that if I have a problem - it's my problem, and if I do not bring the order back - then it's my problem too. Well, I guess you are right, it is my problem. But to avoid any problem in the future, I'll just stay away from you guys and will advise my local friends to do the same, luckily we've got Eat Turkish where they know a thing or two about customer service and loyalty. So Lent ended on 22nd April and I was looking forward to trying this place but it didn't open. Fast forward to 3rd June and I finally get to try it. There is access to order over the Web, which I took advantage of. Email confirmation and expected delay were sent. By tge time I arrived (10 minutes) my order was being bagged. I ordered the platter with generous doner meat, chicken and lamb shish, wings and a lamb kofta. I haven't eaten a kebab shop meal for about 15 years, so was pleasantly surprised with the flavours and quality of the meat. Yes it's all well seasoned with the kofta being spicy and flavoursome. The salad was fresh and crisp along with the chilli sauce and garlic mayo being good in heat and taste. The doner meat was good in texture and flavour and much better than that in my youth. It's a good addition to the Standard and the cook to order nature of the place is a bonus. I will be visiting again for the lamb kofta and will take photos.
