My recent experience at Manchester Airport Terminal 2 was extremely disappointing. From start to finish, the terminal failed to meet even the most basic expectations. First, the layout of the terminal is confusing and poorly signposted, making it difficult to navigate. Finding the correct gates or facilities felt like a challenge, especially for first-time visitors. The security process was chaotic and disorganized. Long queues, unhelpful staff, and a lack of clear instructions made the experience unnecessarily stressful. It felt like the staff were overwhelmed and unprepared to handle the volume of passengers. The seating areas were limited and uncomfortable, with many passengers forced to stand or sit on the floor. The cleanliness of the terminal also left much to be desired—bins were overflowing, and the restrooms were not well-maintained. The dining and shopping options were another letdown. Prices were exorbitant, and the quality of food was subpar. Many shops and restaurants seemed understaffed, leading to long waits and rushed service. Adding to the frustration, the Wi-Fi was unreliable and slow, making it difficult to stay connected while waiting for flights. Overall, Manchester Airport Terminal 2 needs significant improvements in organization, cleanliness, and customer service. I would avoid using this terminal if possible and hope to see changes in the future.

Pre booked, expected the barrier to lift automatically but had to get a token, not sure how that works considering i prebooked. Place was packed but had already left my car here two weeks ago so felt safe leaving here. As i went to leave there were people having problems exciting which made the traffic worse, both exit lanes were blocked. As i approached the barrier the barrier did not open I chatted with one of the operators and they had already read my number plate and noted i did have a prebook, the gentleman mentioned if at my arrival time the barrier had lifted, i said no, he stated at that point i should have notifed them. I was asked to drop the token into the machine, the bill at that point was £358, but was cleared, and the barrier lifted. There was not many spaces left on this occasion and sadly T2 East was full. Still its easier to park here and the walk is not that far but prefer T2 East. Also for 5 days the cost was approximately £90, prefer to pay that and know my car isn't being used by joy riders clocking up miles and in some cases being damaged.

Terminal 2 ARRIVALS If picking up from here. Type into the goog T2 MULTI STORY CAR PARK WEST When you get to the TERMINAL 2 FOLLOW SIGNS FOR short stay parking. GO IN at the barrier press the green button take your red token it gives you. KEEP IT SAFE. park up and walk to the. TERMINAL 2 ARRIVALS. I'm in Starbucks writing this now, it's not busy. My arrives will be coming through the doors 20ft in front of me. For the parking I'll pay on the way out. You can do pick a little bit nearer about 50yds. But the flight I'm waiting on is landing twenty mins later. So I'm having a Vente Latte with a caramel shot, why not!!

Qatar airways is too far from the check-in desks, it is a very long hike to the gates.

The check-in is fast, security can be a nightmare depending on time of day and the highly variable mood of the staff. There is insufficient seating or transport to the gates.

On return to Manchester the hike from plane to security is too far, and why is the assistance lane not at the beginning of security, it is at the very far end, totally inappropriate for disabled passengers.

The final problem with this airport is actually getting out after baggage collection, the taxi pickup point is too far and badly organised that it is a bun fight with dozens of confused passengers and drivers trying to find each other. It's absolutely chaotic and this is rarely a problem at any other airport. Not to mention the disgusting charges for taxi drivers at both pickup or collection. It's a complete rip off which is making everyone's journey a complete travesty. Over charging and profiteering...
