In this Russian Orthodox Christian church there is a small russian language school for children which is hold by enthusiasts teachers. The lessons are free of charge. Some of the parents during the lessons stay in the kitchen and discuss various topics. This "kitchen" type of conversations while having tea and coffee is very informal and very traditional for Russians. The lessons normally take place on Saturdays and followed by prayers and singing involving children who are old enough to behave themselves in the main church hall. Sundays' services normally followed by dinner cooked by the women from congregation. Everyone can bring their own dish so it's like a little cooking competition.
