Lahori Dera — Restaurant in Manchester

So I walked in and was immediately asked would you like to EAT IN or TAKE AWAY, upon enquiring I was informed by the server that they have separate Menu for Eat in and Take Away.

Anyway I decided to EAT IN as it was cold and raining outside, I ordered CHILLI CHICKEN along with a Portion of CHICKEN SEEKH KEBAB.

I thought it’ll be a quick turnaround as the Kebab’s were ready and all they had to do was Re-heat them and Naan should not take them a few minutes as the restaurant wasn’t busy and they have enough staff to fulfil the order.

To my DISAPPOINTMENT I had to wait around 15 minutes for my food and even then the server just gave me a plate with a portion of 2 SEEKH KEBABS which have been warmed infront of me in the microwave and to my surprise the plate had water drenched from the Kebab’s (Again not Impressed as No Cutlery was given along)

So I had to ask for cutlery!

Anyway after another 10 minutes I finally got the CHILLI CHICKEN and 2 naan.

Firstly the CHILLI CHICKEN was by no means whatsoever deserved to be called Chilli Chicken as it seemed more of chicken rashers with a lot of oil and no chilli or flavour not even enough salt. (Huge Disappointment)

The kebab’s were just ok and not the very Best.

Later as I couldn’t finish the food, I asked the Server that if I can get the remaining food to be packed for it to Taken away and again to my Surprise he brought in a Container and a paper bag and left it on my table so that I can do it all myself.

Overall a Huge Disappointment both in-terms of Food, Quality and Service.

A Massive let down as I surely won’t be Returning and Won’t be Recommending to Anyone. So save your hard earned cash and AVOID this place to save your...

Horrible service. We were served after 2 families who came and ordered after us! They had even finished eating by the time we got our food. They started preparing it to the very end, could see inside the kitchen. My parents are aged and diabetic and had to take their insulin and other medication and this place let me down, wish I could burn this place down. We had to request for everything repeatedly. We were served in disposable cutlery and glasses LOL. No water given. Charged for unsealed bottled water lol. Had to really beg for them to give us our tea although we asked to be served the tea with the breakfast. We were about to leave when they gave with the tea. I could see into their kitchen. They started preparing tea when we threatened to leave. Horrendous service and no apologies by the staff. They stayed silent whenever we complained about the delay. No apologies at all!! Appalling. We had to ask for even things like sugar (for tea), tissue paper, glasses, cutlery etc each time. And each time the guy went and came back after ages. Horrible. If I could I would sue this place so they close and go...

I had an absolutely terrible experience here. We ordered a fish dish and a lamb karahi, and were told it would take 45 minutes. After waiting, the fish was mediocre at best, but the lamb karahi was a complete disaster. The meat was not lamb but instead it was tough sheep and the dish was prepared with regular oil instead of olive oil, as we had specifically requested. Also, it is well over priced which is not worth it.

The most alarming aspect was the hygiene. Some of my friends became ill after eating there. They had stomach upset, which is a serious red flag. It’s clear that the restaurant has major issues with cleanliness and food safety. Such negligence is unacceptable and puts customers health at risk.

Furthermore, the fact that they only accept cash or bank transfers is highly suspicious. It raises concerns about their business practices and transparency.

I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this place. The lack of quality, hygiene, and professionalism is unacceptable. This place needs to be thoroughly inspected by the...
