Well get ready for this its going to be long and detailed review. I advise you take the time to read this before trying. As far as the other reviews on here which have had a good experience many customers do not check the food preperation area i suggest you do before you eat. Its never worth endangering your or your familys health by eating at such a place
We were in town for some errands i had to run so we needed a place to eat we thought we would try the food here.
3 of us went my uncle who is a chef and resturant owner with 25 years of experience, his son with 9 years of experience is the food industury and my self with 7 years.
There were health and safety violations as soon as we finished ordering our food. We saw were the food was being made in the back. Same kitchen tongs were being use for cooked and raw food.
Chicken was warmed using a microwave that didnt even seem like a industrial strength but rather the kind you would have in the kitchen in your home.
The grill chef was appalling in the matter of basic hygeine he held a tray of chicken while having his hand in the garbage bin and using the same hand to touch the chicken.
I havnt got the time to cover everything we saw i suggest you step outside while they make your order and see what the condition is and how the prepare your food.
As far the food goes it was an shocking chicken was clearly warmed in the microwave then grill on next to no heat using tongs which were used for both raw and cooked chicken. Even though the chicken had been desimated on the grill it was still cold in the center. Chickens peri peri sauce was completley tasteless just tastes like water and oil infused with chilli flakes.
Chips were a health hazard completley raw grainy uncooked next to frozen on the inside, floppy and to top it off unsalted.
We had the seekh kebab starter which was meat left over from yesterday overspiced to cover the taste of the poor quality meat which had a sour tang to it once the spice hit was over.
Only good thing i can say is the nan which were excellent if cooked a little longer. Sauces such as ketchup and mayonaise were served in bottles which they are sold in places such as tescos and they looked as they had been reused several times and in very poor condition asthetically and taste wise tasted really sour.
Waiters didnt know anything that was on the menu or any information how anything was made, poor young man just looked plain confused. Upon complaining about the food the waiter took our food and we were greeting by the manager insisting he has never had a complaint due to the quality of his food. He repeatedly insisted that the chicken was not reheated using a microwave even though i said i saw his chef warming it and he could ask him. Then his answer was yes it has been reheated but it should taste fine. Even though the chicken was stone cold in the center which by the way is an health violation which he completley tried to ingore.
After all this the waiter bought the food we sent back chips were black and burnt to a crisp which next to no potato remaining in side the empty shell and the chicken still tastless as before apart for the burned charcoaled skin surrounding it which a after taste of smoky burnt meat.
To sum up a complete disgrace to indian and peri peri cuisine and health and safety risk to the public. Should be should down immidietly, i will be reporting to the correct authorities concidering this matter.
P.S it started raining as we left so couldnt take many pictures he is one of were the peri peri chicken is left uncovered cold cooked right next to it is raw meat a very basic practice which they are clearly oblivious to is to keep raw and cooked...
Read moreBitterly disappointed with the quality of the service and the food !!! VENUE The venue atmosphere was terrible, food from previous customers was left under the tables the tables where not very clean, the waiters only gave them a courtesy wipe after a customer left and doing this only spread the grease around the tables. The lighting and general atmosphere was appalling, most of the tables where uneven and the decor was miserable, it actually felt like you where having a meal in the restaurant kitchen !!
STAFF The staff behind the counter where loud and constantly talked amongst themselves rather than concentrating on the quality of the meals, the waiters where too busy talking amongst themselves rather than taking care of customer requirements, no personality and neither did they make you feel welcome. The staff didn’t appear to take pride in how they looked so you can imagine the lack of thought that was given to the food or customers. The manager/owner who was at the till (he was dressed differently but not smart) was very very ignorant as when I came to pay there was no conversation nor did he ask if I enjoyed the meal in fact he didn’t even have the decency to make eye contact!!
FOOD Rated very badly myself and my wife ordered a kebab roll and the presentation of the food was SHOCKING!! three kebabs thrown on a naan YES that’s it !!! No salad or sauce came with it, we had to request for some, when they did arrive they where equally dissaponting !! One portion of Salad was given to us to share !! Again not very well presented!! The sauce was in two glass bottles that had seen better days, when I poured the mint chutney onto the kebabs the top fell off and the chutney drowned my kebabs and made my naan soggy, the naan was nothing impressive too, the kebabs where rubbery and in fact spilling the mint chutney on my food actually masked the taste !! The waiters where alerted to the faulty sauce bottle however they replaced the bottle however there was no apology or any offer of replacement!!! My daughters and son got a burger and chips, the fries where like matchsticks and soggy and looked like they where of the cheapest quality! Needless to say the kids did not finish their food !!!
PRICE £28 for our meals, three chicken burgers and two kebab rolls (six kebabs and two naans) very expensive when you consider the overall quality of the food !!!
RECOMMENDATION Do not go there, dining out consist of various elements: Does the food smell nice - NO Does the food taste nice - NO Does the food look nice -NO Is the food presented well - NO Is the venue nice - NO Is the atmosphere and ambience good ? - NO Are the staff friendly and professional - NO

Visited Kebabish Peri Peri not by choice but by off chance as our first and second choice were both either closed for refit or the waiting time was to long. Cut long story short... Place looked busy do we decided to take a chance, got seated, we order two sirloin steaks with veg, Mash, chips, plus a lamb handi with garlic Naan... Steak was, rubbery and the mix veg was from local market, out of a tin... steak chips should aways big and fat these were from a local corner shop... fries... All we could see was onions, Bell Peppers all swimming in peppercorn sauce, basically a total flop... Turn of the lamb handi, one bite n my word... The smell.... don't think the meat was washed or the meat was preserved from BC 600...terribly... Garlic Naan burned n was dripping with oil... Say no more.... What a terrible experience... Only good thing were the can of coke Fanta 7up... One star 🌟 for the refreshments.... Oh no jug of water u have to buy bottle...
