Local History Society — Attraction in Mole Valley

The leatherhead Museum / Local history society contains a nice variety of local history and information about the area. I came in here a while ago to find out some information about another business on the high street and how it developed over the years and they were able to provide photos and information. This place just gets better and better and the fact it is free is a major bonus. It’s great to take a step back in the past and see what it was like back in the days.

I wish they had some recordings or video of the past to show visitors. It would be more interactive.

The museum itself is beautifully presented and very informative but I had the absolute pleasure of spending an hour or two with the stewards. Their stories, knowledge, and charming personalities provided me with an incomparable afternoon. This building will now have a place in my heart and I can't wait...
