Booked tonight. For a birthday, specifically said 'a birthday'

No acknowledgement of our booking, no care. Seemed disinterested about the requests for booking. Customer service lacking. Perhaps a happy birthday, or a basic check back ( basic restaurant service) What you charging service for. Look after your locals, you wern't busy for a Friday night. I can see why. Not surprised at all.

Small town. Food mediocre, deserts tasteless. Don't mind paying for a bought in dessert but make it look appealing at least.

Coffee in tiramisu wouldn't go a miss. Banana in your version of a dessert banoffee pie would be nice.

Hospitality needs to stop blaming 'covid' and improve service in a service industry. Yes the food was ok, but service very basic. Service charge added, for basically being a waiter. Try going above and beyond. People choose to eat out for an experience, not to line your pockets. Service industry is about providing a service, not just taking an order and clearing a table. Thats basic. Provide a service!! A memorable service. This place seems to work on one time visitors, not anyone wanting to come back for an experience. Zero experience here. Disappointing evening

But you have our money, thats what is coming across, not repeat experiences..

I don’t usually have anything else other than pizza takeaway from here for my lunch as they’re perfect and this restaurant is by far the best pizza around. I was eating in this time and I took my mum here for her Birthday, we were warmly welcomed on arrival and had a nice table to the side it was very busy with a great atmosphere. We both love red wine and we had a valpolicella and it was the perfect temperature. I ordered the Chicken on a bed of spinach & sauté potatoes in a mushroom sauce everything was cooked beautifully the sauce was perfect I really enjoyed this and my mum ordered the lasagna which was perfect tasty and she really enjoyed it. We shared the tiramisu and they added a candle for her birthday which was lovely, it was the lightest loveliest tiramisu we’ve had. This is a great restaurant for a large or small party we’ll be back to...

Once again I went to Firenze in Leatherhead and was in no way disappointed. I was surprised to find the same staff and the food was excellent. As usual I bought the chef a drink and he acknowledged that. THE ONLY SAD THING WAS THAT I WAS SAD TO HEAR THE OWNER HAD DIED 9 MONTHS AGO. BUT THE SON NOW OWNS THE RESTAURANT, THE SAME STAFF WERE ALSO THERE. The food was fantastic, the Service was extremely good. THE Restaurant began to fill up over the course of the evening. AND gradually filled up, which from my point of view was nice to see. I would add that I have not visited Firenze Restaurant in over 5 Years. BUT yes the staff knew me and laughed and joked with me. that either says something about the Restaurant, or me ?
