Beautiful lifeguarded beach with reasonably priced parking that overlooks the ocean, and all the facilities you could ever need. We got here early morning about 7am as the place was coming alive. Dog walkers, people exercising on the sands and in the surf, and the lucky souls who work here getting ready for a busy day. The sand is immaculate and there was a group of people ensuring that the entire beach was clean, picking up any litter that remained from the previous day, everyone seemed to be bare footed which is a reassuring sign. For those who want to try surfing or body boarding the surf school has everything you need, all the equipment is available to hire. There is a team of dedicated instructors that provide private tuition or you can go along in groups of up to eight, from a beginner to people looking to hone their skills they have it covered. The public toilets are immaculate as are the showers and changing facilities. There is a reasonably priced cafe/restaurant with a great menu, this again overlooks the...

Lovely beach, avoid the car park owned by initial parking. They are complete scammers! Finned £60 + £30 (amin charge by avis as hire car)

My wife and I drove into the car park, parked our car and spent some time planning our first visit to Fistral Beach.  We then went to the machine and paid for an hour.  We left the car park within that hour.  We were not aware we had to calculate our time from the exact moment we entered the car park and this was not made clear. In hindsight they have cameras which read exact entrance and exit times.

Secondly, I note you are to allow AT THE LEAST a ten minute grace period.  We were only very slightly over this.

I feel this is a disproportionate charge and course of action when we genuinely thought we had paid sufficient parking.

It was our first time visiting the area and feel we have been unfairly exploited by you taking such draconian action.

I WILL NEVER PARK IN AN INITIAL PARKING...

🏝️ Fistral beach full review below ☀️ I think this is probably one of the most famous beaches that Cornwall has! In the summer this place is SUPER busy but there’s a good reason for it The food and drink choices here are some of the best you’re going to find at a beach, there’s so many different choices! Pasty shack, boardmasters beach bar, fish house, the stable, rick stein, sea spray, headland hotel & all the other hotels on the south side I could do a separate video for each of the restaurants because they are all amazing This beach also has boardmasters music festival in the summer, the surfing, skating & BMXing is held here! There’s also a “village” of shops as well ( we have a pitch come say hi ) There’s also a beach shop ( obviously ) a loads of surf school use this beach + a surf hire where all the restaurants are The closest accommodation is the headland hotel but there’s so many hotels & apartments here is crazy The main car park is known for giving people tickets but there’s also a car park at little fistral & 3 near the golf club but then you need to walk 5 mins to the beach This beach is great for people in wheelchairs as they have sand wheelchairs for hire and the toilets are all accessible without stairs The south end of the beach is definitely less busy but there’s only 1 cafe / restaurant & the only way to get down there is by walking from the north side or going down loads of stairs Overall it’s a great beach if you get down there early & get a decent spot you’ll have a great time because there’s everything you need + more! The sunsets are great, foods amazing, lifeguarded at both ends & dog friendly all year around Dogs all year ✅ Lifeguarded from may ✅ Beach shop ✅ Surf hire ✅ Surf schools ✅ Coffee / cake places ✅ Decent car park + lots near by ✅ Loads of hotels ✅ Restaurants ✅ Bar ✅ Easily accessible ( ramp ) ✅ #cornwall #beach #beachreview #fistralbeach

Awesome awesome awesome! 76 steps down from the hotels end of the beach and public loos adjacent to the entrance to the steps. Where there is also a footpath along the cliff top that is well worth the walk as the view is great and the undergrowth that runs along the footpath brings with it shelter from the wind. Should you go down the steps, there is a snack shop near the bottom, and then the beach, very clean, rock pool heaven and lots of sand, lots of surfers too! At the other end of the beach are more Rockpools and a small hill up to a foot wash, then a pasty shack. Keep going and there is a car park, surf shop and the fabulous restaurant 'the stables' where you can get a cold beer, and a very nice pizza! If you turn right above and right, over the road, there is another small hill which is the start of the cliff top walk back. There and back is half a mile. Would I go back ? You're dam right I would!
