Local museums always have gems that help you really get a feel for a place and Braunton's is no different.
The museum is free (donations encouraged) and although small it is well worth a visit (which is easy being located next to the main Braunton car park).
There is a focus on WW2 and the role this area played on hosting US troops and prepping for D Day.
