Dear Tunnels Beaches, I’m trying to find the words to show my gratitude to you, but for the first time in my life it seems I am speechless.... However I will try.... When we booked your venue it was raining and cold in the winter and even on that blustery day we thought well we love it now so it will be amazing on the big day and so the journey began. The madness of 2020 began and we had a false start and your support made us feel incredibly lucky when we understood the hardship you and others in our situation were facing. You handled the postponement with incredible compassion and calmness and we are thankful in itself for that. No one could imagine the stress that was to come and again your continued attention to communication was second to none and put us at ease at every stressful unknown turn. Then it was true ... it was happening for us! There is nothing we would change about our experience with you and your venue. What you do at Tunnels Beaches is second to none. Let’s start with the accommodation... our guests were blown away as we were too when we first viewed it! We hired the Bath House and Courtyard and everyone was comfortable and we enjoyed the space over the 3 days with Paella on the first day and BBQ on the last evening. The decor and attention to detail is mind blowing. I wanted to see everyone’s reaction and did about 20 tours on the first day and was exhausted haha, but it was soooo worth it to see their faces! Ok, next.. THE BIG DAY! You are a well oiled machine and even though we were aware of other weddings taking place on other days it didn’t encroach on our privacy and you certainly have every detail covered, but let me say that your staff are the most attentive and warm bunch of humans. They are a credit to you.... I didn’t get all their names but I would like to say a special thanks to Jax- you are amazing! Maribelle - who was waiting with canapés when I came off the beach because she didn’t want me to miss them (a sure way to my heart)! Rebecca - an absolute legend who looked after every single one of us and dealt with my demands graciously and perfectly. To all the others who may remain nameless you all hold a special place in my heart! To Jamie, Tanya and Catherine keep doing what you do it’s perfection. Right... THE FOOD! Whaaaaaaaat can I say about that??? I don’t quite know how to say it so I will quote our guests ... “This is the best wedding food I’ve ever had” and “Wow this wedding food is insane”... amongst other things along those lines all with mouths full of the tastiest food known to man... I think that should cover that! Thank you chef and all the other staff who made that possible. So now we have returned and I am on cloud ninety nine ... Thank you for having us in your slice of heaven in Devon. I have attached a few pics while we wait for Mark’s to arrive! We hold you in our hearts forever and we will be back soon to see you all! If anyone reads this and and are still unsure about whether this place is for them ... let me tell you all ... it IS! Don’t miss out on having your wedding here! It’s out of this world! We love you Kimmy & Russ Moreland 13th July 2021

Tunnels was the first and only venue we visited. We booked a visit in with Tanya for early October 2016, prior to the new extension and The Courtyard. After being showed around The Bath House and Tunnels Beaches itself we were completely in love with it, but it was when we were stood in the little gazebo looking out at the view that we knew 100% that this was where we would get married. Words can’t describe the feeling it gives you. We booked The Bath House and Tunnels there and then for one of the only weekends they had left in 2018. In March 2017 Tanya invited us to a wedding fair/open day at Tunnels. This is where we found our musician, Roger Styles and our photographer – Anna Pumer. There aren’t many better suited to this venue than those two. Jamie then showed us the plans for The Courtyard, which we didn’t hesitate to book. From the initial booking to the day, if we had any queries or issues, Tanya or Jamie were always available for us and in the weeks leading up to the wedding all the final details are confirmed and the whole process is made quite easy. When we arrived, Tanya showed us round and got us checked in, we were particularly excited to see The Courtyard at last. Then we were able to greet the rest of our guests staying there. We opted for the 'Meet & Greet Paella' the night before and it was one of the nicest meals we’ve ever had, most of our guests went back for seconds and thirds. On the wedding morning Jacs was a massive help, organising the day and taking a lot of the stress away so we could focus on the important things and in the evening Pete took over and he helped sort the Band, dish out the cake and made sure the evening went smoothly. They both deserve a special mention and thank you. The Gourmet BBQ, Canapés and Pasties were all amazing, people are still talking about the food. Same as the Paella the night before, people were going back for thirds. We’d just like to thank Jamie, Tanya and the amazing team at Tunnels Beaches for the best weekend and Wedding ever. We can’t wait to come back and visit!...

My now husband and I got married at Tunnels Beaches in April 2024 after visiting the venue (the only one we visited) back in September 2023. As soon as we arrived at the venue we were sold, there truly is no other venue you like it in the UK, it's just so unique and gorgeous. Jamie (the owner) and his team were a dream to work with throughout the planning process, with Jamie often replying to any silly question we had no matter the time or day. We booked the courtyard onsite accommodation too which I would really recommend as well as it's the perfect spot to host a paella party on the night before! The wedding day went off without hitch and despite rain all morning we were so lucky to be able to get married outside on the beautiful terrace. The food was incredible and the venue staff made every effort to make things light, easy and run smoothly. We really hope someone we know chooses to get married here as we'd love to return. The town itself is also awesome and provides the perfect backdrop for friends and family to enjoy a lovely weekend in Devon. We'd totally recommend the circular walk followed by the Wetherspoons roof terrace the next day to shake off the hangover. Thank you thank you thank you to the tunnels team and if you're considering getting married here... do it and have the most magical day of your life!!

We had our beautiful wedding at Tunnels beaches on the 28th July this year and it was absolutely amazing! Ilfracombe is such a special place for us both with many memories from our visits over the years, including our engagement down on the beach of Hele bay so we knew that we had to find a venue that was just as memorable and Tunnels certainly did not disappoint! After our first visit to Tunnels beaches during the refurb and addition of the roof terrace we were amazed and fell in love with this gorgeous venue, so much so we booked for our wedding the very same day!! The staff were amazing from start to finish, answering questions on the run up to the wedding and were extremely organised on the day, ensuring everything went so smoothly! The BBQ buffet was delicious and of such a high quality with guests commenting how much they enjoyed this different approach to a wedding breakfast! The outstanding and purely magical views make this a venue that stands out from the rest and has provided us with memories that will last us a lifetime! We can't thank you all enough! and will definitely be back to visit and reminisce about our beautiful day! Mr and Mrs Glasgow

We had our wedding day at Tunnels Beaches. We would like to say a huge thank you for the most amazing day we could have wished for. From the first moment we visited the venue we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. The relaxed atmosphere and stunning beach location was perfect for us and how we wanted to celebrate with our friends and family. The food was delicious and the team went out of the way to make all of our food vegetarian so we could keep the whole wedding about us. All of the team looked after us and the guests and were so happy to do anything we needed. Jacs especially was absolutely amazing on the day, she was discreet and always checking to make sure I was having a drink and happy. We are still having so many compliments about this venue now two months after the wedding as the guests were blown away by the beauty and how well it suited us. Thank you to everyone who helped make our wedding day perfect, we completely fell in love with your venue and can never thank you enough for letting us have such an awesome day to remember. Thank you so much Tunnels, we can't wait to come back for a visit next year ❤️ Love Amy and Andy xxx

The Tunnels. Wow. What a venue! I can’t say that we have been to any other wedding venue with your own private beach! The location alone is enough to make you interested in The Tunnels but when you get to look around the venue it’s all beautiful. The ceremony space outdoors is great, amazing views to the side and backed with cliffs made it a great space for photography. We love the multiple levels at this venue. It really allows you to enjoy the views. The reception room for meals and the evening entertainment has huge panoramic windows which, when you have a location like this, is exactly what you want. The sunset on the evening we were there was gorgeous. Being able to watch it from such a great view while chatting around a fire pit has to be one of the top ways to end your wedding day right?! We are both huge fans of Devon and love being by the coast. If this sounds like you then you should definitely look at The Tunnels for your venue. The location, venue and staff are all amazing. You won’t be disappointed.
