A pebble beach which contrary to the signs is a good beach to swim from and play in the water. One girl became ill a few years ago after being on the beach, that’s one girl out of thousands over the years including myself. It’s a strange anomaly that Tunnels beach which is about a hundred yards away is classed as ok, yet the tides move the same water up and down the coast. Tunnels beach is by the large rock you can see in the first photo.

Very chilled and pretty town beach,signs say don't swim due to poor water quality, however and I also checked Surfers against sewage live map which has a red cross! Super hot so I dipped without getting my head in, a few people were swimming but I wouldn't risk it. Clean it up water companies!

Some lovely shops - eco friendly and local artists work. We went on a walk around the bottom of the hill which didn't take too long and had amazing views. Easy to walk to the harbour from here. The theatre has a good variety of things on offer to watch.

The beach is clean and very central to most visitors as it on the promenade.

It has a number of steps going down to it.

There are a number of shops across the road such as a premier convenience store. There is a sign that advises against swimming in the sea though. I believe that it's due to the run off drain / water that runs down the side...
