Well preserved Victorian lifeboat displayed in its original shed. I was greeted by a very friendly volunteer who was more than happy to share some of her local knowledge with me. The museum is small but has a lot of info about the history of the Sheringham lifeboats and the local men, often different generations of the same families, who risked and sometimes lost their lives trying to save others. Not from the area so didn’t know much about boating in and around Sheringham, so found it very fascinating, especially that they have the actual first lifeboat used by volunteers (mainly fisherman) in Sheringham.
