Unfortunately not the greatest experience.
We went and had a relatively good experience overall; ie the painting etc with 2 adults and 5 children.
Unfortunately after the event my son's card was troublesome to use as I didn't know the pin and contactless wouldn't work. He has a prepaid card from Norfolk county council for funding. We decided to use this for the 3rd time, but first being in a shop as chip and pin. I tried to go to the front of the shop for signal as it was joke existent in the shop, attempted to go outside to talk or quicker signal and mobile data and to give my sister the pushchair for my 2 year old daughter. The owner came to me and asked me to come inside in told her I was trying to get signal and she still wanted me inside. After this I heard communication from her to her employee who also advised her to stay with me while I made a call. I spoke to said employer and said I was only trying to retrieve a pin number from a number which was a customer service line which was taking time.
After 20 minutes it was embarrassing to have to stand there in front of the whole cafe (large table party, and a couple of smaller tables) to enable a phone call for the pin number with poor signal and to have a member of staff with me. the lady also told me "well done" after spending 20 mm in minutes on the phone. All this happening with my sister and children waiting outside.
Unfortunately won't ever be returning after a negative experience, and would most certainly not attend with my son with special needs.
I may have been unfortunate with the experience of the card, but I also feel the other tables got compassion and positivity in their products painted but as our table was a little lively the only person who visited was the...
Read moreAbsolutely brilliant find and activity painting pottery for an afternoon. We were lucky to be able to walk in and get a spot. Staff are brilliant and encouraging. Really well set up, easy to get going. We've not done anything like this so were a bit worried about how it worked but the team took us through it step by step. Lots of pottery items to choose from, we chose a plate. There were items as small fridge magnets right through to large bowls and great novelty pottery pieces like owls. Lots of paint and tester tiles so you could practice. Writer ink also provided so you can write on your pieces such as signatures. They also serve hot drinks and a few treats. There were some families, couples and kid parties and it was very peaceful because most of us were concentrating! Highly recommend. Really well...
