Bloody Sunday Monument — Attraction in Northern Ireland

This is a monument, in my opinion, extremely important to our heritage and the lives lost on this hoffiffic day of our families' friends' neighbours all local communities. We have been shown worldwide support over the years from all parts of Ireland and especially other countries. How a peaceful demonstration for civil rights ended in blood shed by the English police services. I was only a child of 4, growing up through the troubles relying on our elders. Most were young, 20-year-old upwards in age groups to gain peace. I like seeing tourists and local people visiting this piece of our history. I have always wanted to visit these wall murals since I saw Billy Connoly's tv programme, good street art, though some a bit dated. Would love to have gone into local pub and talked to residents but didn't have time, let's hope that the "troubles"...

The monument itself is not so impressive however the events that occured there are... the current breit only shows how fragile the peace is. Escaltion threats are always present. At least worth the visit if you are in the...
