Went in for a coffee - Cappuccino to be exact - and was immediately struck by the 3.50 price tag. In Derry, the best specialty coffee shops are charging 3.30at most for a coffee like a cappuccino, so my expectations were definitely very high. However, the cappuccino when it arrived was huge - which I guess explains the pricing - however, it tasted more like a Latté, a weak Latté at that. The sizing was far too big and I think it would be beneficial to charge a lower price for a smaller size, or at least provide a smaller option. The coffee itself was fine, definitely not worth the premium price being charged. When I entered, initially the staff were really nice, however the staff working at the till and serving the coffee were unpleasant and seemed like they would rather be somewhere else, which ruined the atmosphere a little. I think this place could be really nice and I was planning on returning to try food some other time, however with such a mediocre experience, there are better café options elsewhere in the city.

Really great cafe. Excellent selection of soups, sandwiches, salads and breakfasts. We had breakfast here and it was fantastic. Good selection for vegetarians and vegans but also nice options for kids and very friendly staff. The portions are pretty large and the tea supply is generous. We had two large mugs of tea but got a pot that had enough for two more mugs each. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and I finally tried this avocado toast everyone is going on about. Very tasty (with salt). We were all fully stuffed leaving. We really must recommend the cinnamon buns, which come heated and with a generous dollop of fresh Irish cream. Yum! If we're in Derry again, we'll be here again.

Not great to be honest. In my opinion very over priced for food that wasn't of great quality. Bacon undercooked, and seemed more "packet" than butcher style which I would expect from a cafe/restaurant. Black pudding was cold, soda under toasted so that it went extremely soggy when the sausage and bacon were thrown on top. Eggs benedict was very basic! Hollandaise sauce was really bland! Cappuccino was more like a latte in a cup, and I barely got 1 small cup of tea out of the pot I received (which was £2.10) The staff cleaned the tables with the palm of their hands instead of a cloth and spray. Not a great experience im afraid 🙈

Looks can be deceiving with this place. Looks the part & so does the food. Was pricey but we said we will try it anyway. Cutlery came out dirty, and when I asked for them to be changed no apology was offered. Glasses also crumbs and bits around the bottom. Food was medium to low temperature, tomato on my fry was stone cold, soda was rock hard and I had 1 slice of toast on the side.( where I come from it’s always a side of toast which is 2 slices) Bacon, egg & sausage good quality but again not warm enough. My wife had pancakes (tasteless, dry and cold). Filled a hole at best, but 2 breakfasts for over £20, the experience was very underwhelming. Can’t understand the glowing reviews. It’s not busy either so can’t understand the low standards and cold food....
