This is an interesting, small historic church in the centre of Oxford. The Saxon tower, built around 1040, is the oldest building in the city for which there is a fee to climb, currently £3.50 (Adults) £2.00 (Children) with concessionary and family tickets also available. These can be purchased in the small shop. There are some interesting artefacts to see going up the 97 steps and a view of the city from the top.. The church was rebuilt several times during the medieval period and restored in the 19th century. There are a variety of free concerts on most Mondays at 1pm with a retiring collection for a charity nominated by the musicians. Definably worth a effort and price to climb to the top of the Saxon tower, believes it around 100 steps to the top - great views and you get to see (and hear) the bells as you climb. Make sure you press the clock mechanism button as you climb. The stained glass windows in the church are truly and amazing.
