UPDATE 06/02/23 - Stupidly I thought I’d give this location one more shot. Decided to go for a rice box, and explicitly asked for no bean salsa. Lo and behold, I get home and open up the box to the most bloody salsa I’ve seen in my life. The whole meal was covered in it and thus ruined as I can’t eat it. What a waste of time and money. Please don’t eat here - I have ordered many times and never once has it actually been correct. Came in this evening to an empty shop, with no one else ordering or waiting for food. Yet the woman behind the counter insisted I order in person rather than use the screen as I usually would, because “the receipts in the machine aren’t working” - why do you need a receipt to track orders if there’s only one customer in the store?! I tried to explain that I would just prefer to order through the screen as I don’t know what all the menu items are called, but she would not let me do it. So, I decided to go for something simpler than I had originally wanted, and asked for a 3 piece boneless meal with a hot chocolate, and an extra piece of corn. When I got home, lo and behold, it was very much not a boneless meal, and I almost swallowed some bone pieces at first before I realised. My drink was also somehow stone cold despite me only living a three or four minute walk away.
I understand that food service work sucks and that it was probably the end of a long shift but the staff were very rude, when my food was ready they just yelled out my number (again, I was the only one in store…) and tossed the food over without even making eye contact. I thanked the girl and wished her a good day but she didn’t respond. Not a great impression!
Unfortunately this is the last strike for me for this particular location, I love KFC food so I’m willing to write off one or two mistakes or incidents but every single time I have come in here something goes wrong, whether it is a wrong item like today, items missing, or waiting over 20/25 minutes for what is supposed to be...
Read moreI have been to this KFC many times and start to realise the staffs only take your orders but won't advice you for better or cheaper choices, like you can have free drink with the meal. You will be asked if you sit in or take out. But you have to ask for items like napkins, sauce, more different sauce, salt, pepper etc. Is this the company policy ? KFC Sign Post is difficult to spot at the top of the street, you need to be near it to see it. If you don't have GPS, tourists might easily end up in McDONALD'S. I was here on 5 May and could not use my KFC voucher because their machine was down. I was told to go to KFC at Cowley Road, full stop. For goodness sake, this is one time my Samsung mobile phone comes in to rescue me. Speaking to Google, my phone displayed KFC headquarter number. The customer relationship officer told me i can use my voucher. After about half an hour, KFC Headquarter, through my phone and my airtime, finally persuaded cashiers and then manager upstairs (i followed, won't let my Galaxy S7 Edge out of my sight) to let me have my chicken legs. I had an extremely disappointing visit to this KFC branch on Thursday, 22nd July 2025. During lunchtime, only chicken legs were available, and I had to wait for chicken thighs to finish cooking. Unfortunately, the chicken I received was undercooked and completely tasteless, lacking any seasoning or flavour.
When I raised my concern with the lady at the till, she politely apologised and said she would pass on the feedback to her colleagues. However, this did not resolve the issue.
To make matters worse, the toilets were in a very unhygienic condition, which added to the overall unpleasantness of the visit. From what I observed, several members of staff appeared disengaged and indifferent to customer service.
This branch clearly needs to improve its food quality, hygiene standards, and staff training. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and can only hope I do not fall ill from...
