Pendine Sands Beach — Attraction in Pendine

Pendine Sands Beach has the potential to be an excellent walk along a beautiful, very long beach (approx. 7 miles). However, the majority of the beach is closed to the public Monday to Thursday inclusive and all of Friday morning every week. This is due to MoD artillery practice. NOTE: there is no information at the car park or entrance to the beach informing visitors of this. We only found out having paid car parking charges and, walking on the beach, we're turned back at the lifeguard station. As such we wasted £3.30 car parking charges which the Council have refused to reimburse. Pendine itself is scruffy and run down with very little to do. Car parking charges are extortionate.
