We decided to have an evening meal here, mainly because it looked the better option in the local area.

For starters I had the chicken bites, which were ok, a little greasy if anything. I was in a party of 4 and everyone else was happy enough with theirs.

For main I had the bacon cheese burger with chips, I attempted to have half the burger but I just couldn't stomach it, the meat was grainy and felt like I was eating stones, my fillings didn't thank me! The chips were also cold and tasted horrible, not sure what they were fried in. Needless to say I didn't enjoy the main!

I did wait for a waitress to come past and ask if my meal was ok, which is standard practice in all most every restaurant I've been in, but no one came, it was busy to be fair... So at the end when we asked for the bill I advised that my main was horrible and that I couldn't eat it (apart fro the half burger I tried) she said no problem I will tell chef.

Well have after 15mins no response or feedback so I went to pay, nothing was said so I highlighted the fact I didn't eat my main and wasn't really happy in paying for a meal that was unacceptable. The managers/owners response was brilliant, as I'm sure his response to this review will be... He said (in an angry manor) "why didn't you tell waitress", I said because no one asked me, he then said under his breath "oh go away" (but using a horrible swear word) just the response you want! He then came back and said "you've had half a burger your paying for it that's the rules" in the end he made me pay £4 for the bit of burger I had, he showed no remorse or regard to the fact I had a bad experience, his complaint handling skills are disgusting and to be sworn at, no thanks!

Feedback- customers come first. I was not just paying for food, I was paying for a dinning experience, which you ruined. Don't swear at customers and always act professional. The rest of my group was happy with their meal, so why would I just single my food out. As a group we spent well over £100 including the drinks in the day, why treat me so poorly?

And before you put the response we served 1,000 burgers that day and everyone was happy, that's not the point....

Sadly I would avoid and certainly would...

We arrived at 5:15, grabbed a table and were promptly served - we asked about food being served that night and the lady checked her watch and said, yes, but at 6pm.||||We said we were happy to wait and have drinks first, having now expressed our intention to stay for food.||||We ended moving inside as the weather became a bit chilly, but that was beside the point... Around 5:55 my husband said he'd get a top up of drinks and grab some menus. We made a decision quickly about what we'd have and a few moments later a staff member came over to us and told us that they were no longer taking food orders. ||||I was disappointed that it had taken the staff 45mins to conclude this knowing that we had the intention of eating. They weren't rushed off their feet and it's not like we paled into the background of a busy pub/restaurant. ||Luckily my husband hadn't got the fresh drinks before getting menu's and we were able to swiftly move on. I checked the time on my phone once outside - 6:03pm. ||The staff member did apologise, however I'm still wondering how it took so long to establish no more food orders were being taken and tell us given it was...

The location is amazing! Our room is small and basic, we stopped in a double room with a bunk bed, it’s ok for 3 of us with a small dog for 3 nights as long as we don’t spend too much time in the room which we did not. WiFi didn’t work, not much phone signal too. Not a big deal for us but some people might need to work away still. Bathroom floor is kinda moving, worried us a little bit too. First time stopped in Pendine and we love it!! But If you are into good food like us you might disappointed with not many good restaurants in the area. We don’t mind driving to different places. We had dinner here one evening when we arrived, food was ok. Our steak was too well done and dry, we were so scared to tell them but here I wanted to say staffs were very good with a good attitude trying to fix it for us. We don’t really like the entrance to the room from the back of the pub though, it makes us feel uncomfortable with the smell, bins and whatnot. However the beach is so wonderful and it’s making us wanted to go back soon! Hope things at the springwell inn can improve a little bit in the future. Happy to pay more and stay longer...

Friendly and welcoming staff. We had a table booked here October 21st at 6pm and although we were early we were sat straight away. Large portions of tasty food. The curry today was beef and it melted in the mouth. The restaurant cat is very friendly too and didn't mind having a tickle behind the ear. Place is reasonably priced for what we had too. If you are staying in Pendine eating here is a must

Been here many times now whilst staying in pendine and on previous years. The place is lovely to enjoy a drink and look at the view. Food is always great, kids meals are great value as very decent portion for my 10 and 11 year old boys. My partner particularly enjoyed his sausage and mash and said it was the best he had ever had in a restaurant. For me it's the homemade chips that I adore 😋
