Really great views with some great history only down fall was the group of teenagers below swearing and shouting and the local resident who made the climb all the way up the top of the Castle to tell me he didn't like me flying my drone there...which legally I'm entitled to do...unfortunately he really wasn't a very nice person and didn't like being corrected...for me he let the area down with his attitude and lack of respect.

Lovely local attraction full of history. A little bit overgrown but worth a walk up the path to take in the views of the surrounding town. Great place to walk the dog, large open space at the bottom of the castle. Grab a beer in the London Inn which is a 2min walk from the site, plenty of good ales.

Plympton Castle is a ruin high up on a mound with beautiful views. Only able people can get to the top. Very steep and big steps- but worth it. On the board is the history. You can see where the moat once was. Beautiful walks there too. The ruins are free. Not much space for car parking.

Great as an introduction to English castles.

The secluded grassy space in the former castle bailey is a space where children can play safely and well behaved dogs can run too. There are some swings here.

Caution! There is a drop from the site of the former walled Bailey boundary to be aware of but it's relatively easy to keep little ones away from the banked up edge.

My granddaughter and I liked the circular walk through the undergrowth to the top of the ruined castle tower and the view over Plymmton St Morice from the top

There is a notice board explaining the castle history in the site.

Entry is free

Other castles relatively close include Launceston and Lostwithiel and Dartmouth but they may be closed and...

The remaings of an old castle can be seen here. The view from the top is absolute fabulous and i really liked it. You can see the entire town from the top of the castle remaing. Nothing much to see here on the top except the view but is a nice place for a walk and to relax. If you are a local its a fine plays to go when you feel down. There is a park near by. This place is good for dog wall or evng walks. Monuments of old soliders can be seen...
