Great as an introduction to English castles.
The secluded grassy space in the former castle bailey is a space where children can play safely and well behaved dogs can run too. There are some swings here.
Caution! There is a drop from the site of the former walled Bailey boundary to be aware of but it's relatively easy to keep little ones away from the banked up edge.
My granddaughter and I liked the circular walk through the undergrowth to the top of the ruined castle tower and the view over Plymmton St Morice from the top
There is a notice board explaining the castle history in the site.

Nothing much to see here on the top except the view but is a nice place for a walk and to relax. If you are a local its a fine plays to go when you feel down. There is a park near by.
