Plympton Spice — Restaurant in Plymouth

The first time I went there with three friends it was very busy. The food was lovely and the staff were great, but i phone them next day and asked if they still had the bill. Like me they could see a discrepancy of £7.25. I went and got my refund they apologised and that was it. Then went there again when we were allowed to eat in there, with four friends on a Wednesday night again. There was only one other couple in there and us. We split the bill between us and the manager was adding a amount to my friends card when i stoped him. Again there was a over charge of £8. He apologise for the error. But I would just ask you to be cautious when you get your bill. Because you can take your own alcohol with you, we will be returning hopfuly soon. I love indian food, I make a lot at home and dine out at indian restaurants frequently. This is by far the worst Indian food i’ve ever had, possibly the worst meal I have ever had full stop. The dishes were really poorly seasoned, flavours were all off and just simply inedible. They somehow managed to send out doughy, undercooked naan?!! The ‘saag paneer’ was made with cheddar, no paneer at all, what a joke! The food made my partner actually vomit within 5 minutes of eating some and made me feel very sick. We barely touched the food and left shortly after tasting all our dishes. Last night we tried Plympton Spice , for a takeaway . We phoned direct to request a meal not on website and the person we spoke to was friendly and helpful . Food arrived sooner than the estimated time frame -and was still very warm .The food was delicious full of flavour and spice , my vegetable chilli masala was hot but not ridiculously so and I could still taste the other flavours . My partner said his chicken dhansak was gorgeous.. High praise indeed !! We have been missing our old Indian restaurant from where we lived before but think we have found a really good replacement .
