We ate here today. We came here as it normal my favourite weatherspoon in the area. With nice polite staff.

When we order at table 66 at around 12pm. We order for 2 adult and 2 children. I asked for a spare plate so our children could share a meal at the till. 25 minets later of entering our children ( every parent feel our pain).

Our food turns up , with no spare plate, again I ask for a Spare plate, cutlery and an item missing from my meal.

2 minets later the young girl come back with my side salad. . Still no plate, again I ask for a spare plate so my children can eat. 4 minutes pass no plate so I go to the bar and ask for it again. She apologies then . 2 minets later a lady came out with our plate! Thank god! Holding it and not handing it over. Tell me about my missing item. I took the plate from her hands from pure frustration. A little rude on my part so for that I apologise.

However the lack of communication , trainings for a simple action of giving me a god dame plate for my children to eat the dinner was completely unnecessary and just felt like a completely lake of care. Our easy lunch truned into stressful and very unpleasant experience.

I did not eat my missing item in the end as my partner said I would not eat that just seen them talking about you. They probably spat in it.

So yeah normal a great easy meal today not so much the simple things make the biggest difference with...

hree of us went especially on the Friday for the Fish and Chips special....going out of our way and passing the Beefeater and other places to eat on our journey.Arrived at approximately 8.45pm....Told at the counter they had run out of Fish..Okay....so ordered. doom bar steak and ale pie...they took the order and we sat down......Fifteen minutes later we were informed they had no Pie.......Oh well ...third time lucky... ordered a Chicken Tika Masala.....meal came out but sorry...run out of naan bread, Now that is very poor for a large business like this......Someone is not ordering enough stock....I worked in a bank and had to order how much money we needed...How would you like it if I had said...I am sorry I have run out of money. .I see in your reviews this has happened before a shortage of food to customers. If you have a fish and chips night....order enough fish...Very disappointed in this branch of Wetherspoons....I have eaten at some Wetherspoons in Derbyshire and this is far inferior to them...So with the no food saga we eventually received our meal at abour 9.30pm and about 9.45pm was told by the security guard that the 10 year old sitting quietly in the corner had to be out by 10.pm....Now who's fault was that with all the delays....anyway we were out by 10pm but that was a final disappointment to our visit.....over to you Wetherspoons...

10.30am. Walked in and chose a table, which had no table number and hadn't been cleaned since the previous occupants had left. Breakfast stuff everywhere. Lady server told me no cash being accepted as tills weren't working. Asked for table number so explained which one, as no number and it needed to be cleaned before we could use it. Ordered 2 x large breakfasts and 2 coffees. Simple. 1 of the coffee machines were only giving out hot water, 2nd had no hot chocolate. Food came out after nearly 30 minutes and two reminders from myself. Once brought out the sausages and hashbrowns were cold, the bacon burnt, eggs hard and what I can describe at best as being a desert spoon sized portion of beans. So obviously took both meals back. Was apologised to and told would get it sorted. 15 minutes later food came out again, eggs still hard but this time with added shells, same sized portion of beans but the sausages and hashbowns had obviously been microwaved to warm them up. The toast was more like warmed bread. Ate half the meal as had been put off by then and left. If that's the quality of the food for a simple easy breakfast, God knows what the main meals are like. The only good thing about the food was the sachets of HP brown sauce! Will not...

Lovely pub to attend, with a very Christmassy feel to it at present. Just a real shame at present that nobody can fully appreciate it due to most regulars & other customers from further away choosing to stay away due to this area being slapped with 'tier two' status out of the blue in these Covid times....at least this was the case when I went in on a December Tuesday. Great food & service still, nonetheless.

"For a Wetherspoon it's really good" That's my mate and I agree. This has become our regular as it is now on our way to his place. It doesn't really feel like a spoons and instead feels more like a proper local pub. It's always busy and full of locals. It's typical good value grub and drink but has a cosy feeling to it. The staff do a good job so it's always an easy and relaxed time.

Not sure a Wetherspoons should ever be called a "local" but this could be mine!! Couldn't be bothered to cook so walked 1.5 miles to the pub instead. Couple of pints and a Tikka masala curry with a naan were the order of the day!! Very tasty. You really can't beat the value and all for a tenner. All the lads in attendance were very pleasant and friendly....
