The Pompey Centre — Attraction in Portsmouth

Inner city Tesco Extra is always welcome. But there are some persistent issues which make it less attractive. Some aisles are narrow making it harder to navigate the store and I often get stuck in trolley traffic. The escalator often doesn't work leading to long queues to the lift. Although there are plenty of spaces for parking, a number of blind spots make it a scary place to park. The speeding individuals make walking through the car park even more frightening. If they ever revive the Frogger franchise, they would do well to set it at the Pompey Centre. This is a hot mess of a retail park where pedestrians are considered exotic interlopers, little more than potential human road kill. It's like some mad science experiment to test the notion 'survival of the fittest' for even those who park their cars and make a dash for the shops. Not enough pavements, crossings, predictable traffic flow, speed bumps, exits, mini roundabouts... Heck, I'm no city planner, but neither was the idiot who designed...

Has a great wide range of free from item's and everything else I can't eat.

I mainly get deliveries but when I do pop in I normally find everything I want, like last time some really awesome towels (super soft!).

The staff are ever so helpful, especially a lady who helped me Christmas 2019, lots of people, loud beeping and super stressful. She saw this and helped me quickly pick up all the bits I needed. If she wasn't there I would have legged it. Thank you, I wish I got your name to thank...
