I love the park, I was very lucky when I was growing up to live right across the road, now I can bring my son here and it is as good in fact better than when I was little. There are 2 play grounds one for younger children and one for older, they also have a skate ramp, library, bowling green and generally there is a ice cream van. The gardeners do a fantastic job of keeping everything looking neat and nidy and a real asset to the park. Beautiful, small, well-maintained park set in a small village surrounded by the Pennine Hills. The spring blossoms are gorgeous currently. There are short walks around it, 2 play areas for children, a bandstand,, a bowling green and a beautiful little library behind the big house, which is now being gradually restored and repurposed as a venue for various local group activities.
