The Cherry Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Rochdale

I had not been here before and it will be a long time before I go again. I found that the prices were quite steep, for example the price of a fish finger sandwich was not much less than a full English breakfast. On the menu are pancakes and the menu states that you get maple syrup and whipped cream with these plus if you want any extra toppings it is an extra 69p per topping. I asked for mixed berries as an extra topping and when they were served all that was there were the berries. I asked for maple syrup which came later but still no whipped cream. When I went to pay and tried to bring this up the waitress would not let me say what I needed to say and kept saying they were aware of it. If this is the case then why have they not changed it on the menu or just do what it actually states ? Your response as the owner is quite self explanatory in its self you sound quite rude. It was my first time in and I felt awkward, I came to say my drink wasn’t right and you said ‘well that’s how we do it’ even though it was chai the top when I asked for matcha, I felt like I had done something wrong when I was trying to explain myself. The rest of the staff were lovely just you yourself seemed to have an attitude and it made me feel quite unwelcome. Hope that explains it better :)

Look at other reviews you should maybe take criticism and learn from it instead of having a stinking attitude and taking it...

Staff under pressure, when we ordered breakfast we were told we had to pay first my husband went to pay and the meal arrived the queue was so long to pay his meal was cold, we asked for our eggs to be well cooked but they were nearly raw so we were unable to eat them when we told the waitress she just looked at us and walked away saying she would come back but never did, they apologised but nothing was done we had to wait for 10 minutes for our tea and ended up reminding them we still hadn’t had it.
