Bobbys at The Square — Restaurant in Rochdale

So we visited Bobby's today before we went for a walk around the lake ...we sat outside at the rear of the cafe ... 1st impressions were quite good tbh... very pleasant eating area .. waiting time for the food was roughly 25 mins ( due to the popularity I'd say . All the tables outside were full . Dunno about the inside though ... we had the medium full English breakfast ... Good size breakfast for £8.50 and 2 coffee's .we felt some of the food was unfortunately a bit bland ..the sausages had no taste to them and the hash browns tasted like they've been cooked alongside onions... The milk for your coffee came in small glass jars but 1 between 2 brews wasn't enough and had to ask for another ... also the Mrs went to the loo and as we were sitting outside at the back .she had to walk all the way around to the front of the cafe to use the loo 'rather than being able to walk though the cafe which is a bit of a inconvenience ,especially if you require the loo regularly or immediately ... all in all a decent breakfast and we left with a full stomach and that's what we went there for .. .would I visit again tbh probably...

We stopped in today for a quick cup of tea and a full English, with plenty of time before an appointment. From the front entrance, it looked like we were the only table to serve, so we didn’t realise there was a busy outdoor seating area. Unfortunately, after 40 minutes with no food, we had to leave—over £20 down for just two cups of tea. Cant review the food as it never left the kitchen to our table. We asked if our meals could be boxed up to go, and while the staff member we spoke to was kind and helpful, we overheard the chef loudly complaining in the kitchen about the request. It made an already awkward situation worse. We paid and left, even though we were tempted to just walk out.

We went in the cafe for lunch Waited for a while We ordered fish and chips The chip came out nearly burned we were told they were double fried. The fish was a half portion . We refused to it it as we said we are going to leave a rude member of staff said go on then .We paid for our drinks and left. We are never to return again to the cafe . In all my years been a chef I have never presented a meals like that to any one . To be rude to your customers is one thing but to be served bad...
