My children and I look forward to going here when we are up visiting my Mom. We live down South now and it is so nice to go in and choose from the wide range of treats and savouries, most of which we can't find where we live now. The food is REALLY good and you get a lot for your money. The people who work there are really nice and always have a friendly smile. We were extremely sad to hear that Ray the owner had passed as he always made us feel welcome and we left with a smile on our faces with my children commenting on how friendly people up North are. Condolences to everyone there as he was a lovely person. If you are in the area, I recommend literally everything on the menu, but in particularly the gigantic ham sandwiches. We can't wait to go back but it will be a few weeks so I will put an order in with my Mom so she can bring me some stuff the next time...

Hot sandwiches and soup are available, as are bread, cakes, pies, etc. Their own cheese and onion is very good. The place is usually busy, but the service is quick, friendly and professional. It's open on Sunday morning for breakfast. Prices are reasoable..their sandwiches are a meal! After many years eating sandwiches in the US, I prefer these as they are fresh, loaded and you can easily make them as healthy as you want....and the ingredients...
