Carnoustie Beach is a hidden gem on Scotland's east coast, offering a stunning vista of the North Sea. The beach is known for its scenic beauty, with golden sands stretching as far as the eye can see and gentle waves lapping the shore. It's a paradise for those who appreciate nature's splendor.

For enthusiasts of collecting colored pebbles or shells, Carnoustie Beach is an absolute treasure trove. The shoreline is dotted with vibrant, smooth pebbles and an array of beautiful shells, making each visit a new adventure in discovery.

Families will also find plenty to love about Carnoustie Beach. The children's play area, located right on the beachfront, provides a safe and fun environment for kids to enjoy. Swings, slides, and climbing frames ensure that young ones are entertained while parents relax nearby.

After a day of beachcombing and play, visitors can indulge in a delightful dining experience at Chillies, the Indian-Thai restaurant conveniently located near the beach. With its rich, flavorful dishes and warm ambiance, Chillies offers the perfect end to a perfect day at Carnoustie Beach. Whether you’re a nature lover, a family with kids, or a foodie, Carnoustie Beach has something...

This year I’m off on holiday but have a garden to but this year I’ll be attending the beach u can buy your grandchildren drinks etc now I’ve not been to the beach for 8years when we had I think the best summer holiday in I don’t go out a lot due to mental health issues but last night just walking along the rock bit as I had my sons dog in don’t like them doing the toilet on sand but I actually looked around the beach as it was great to think to myself in I think that in 19 years Carnoustie has changed very much in it offers a lot more now ##proud of what my granddaughters can do here now it’s changed so much...

My family and I were surprised at how little beach is left here. We felt a bit claustrophobic as the crowds descended on the warmest day of the year. And the odour brought on by the breeze kept the kids moaning the whole time. Great play park though, and a view that rivals the French Riviera. But when the kids had to use the facilities, we found a long queue waiting for one toilet with one single stall....

A beautiful beach, good for weekend visits. I visited the beach on a windy day. The beach has got a wee park for kids, and if you are planning to have a small hangout with friends, then there are some quiet areas on the edge of the beach. I liked the quietness of the beach, and it was very clean. All the credit goes to the council and fellow citizens for maintaining the beauty of the beach.

Lovely to walk along. Pretty misty both times we went. Limited public toilets and most cafes and areas shut as was out of season. Not clear where the golf range starts and finished so unclear where you can walk at the tip. Not many places to sit if you need regular pit stops. However totally accessible car park and coastal path for prams and wheelchairs.

Visited Carnoustie Beach around 10 PM and found it incredibly calm and beautiful. The serene atmosphere was perfect for a peaceful evening. Best of all, there's no admission fee, making it a great spot to unwind without spending a dime.
