Aim to visit soon, a relative recently displayed her work there, we are looking forward to visiting. We called in today 21/9/21 and found Heather m nisbet was displaying her Art ,I found the whole experience enlightening ,She was displaying lots of paintings of fishing boats , some of which I believe where of boats in the harbour. A large painting on one wall I liked greatly, It depicted a number fishing boats, and the artist had laid them one over the other, yet managed not to hide each of the boats . You will have to visit to see what I mean. Only a few days left to see them. Read moreA bright and airy little art gallery that occupies two floors of an 18th century fisherman's cottage between MacLellan's Castle and the harbour. It's free to enter. Was only on a very short visit to Kirkcudbright but I enjoyed the half-hour I spent looking around the autumn exhibition. The people who work here were really welcoming and the paintings and drawings by mainly local artists were beautifully displayed. I especially liked the seascapes and local scenes. There were also a few crafts and some nice postcards. Great harbour views from the upstairs window too! Well...
