We've been in twice now. The first time we had tea and scones with jam and cream. The tea comes in big cups and you get individual pots of tea. The scones were delicious. The second time we had the soup of the day, Minestrone served with a cheese scone. The soup was thick and 'tomatoey' and the cheese scone as large and tasty. My son had a haggis and cheese panini which he enjoyed too. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The toilets were clean and tidy. We liked the animal portraits in the corridor on the way to the toilets too.

Very pleasant and welcome addition to Kirkcudbright's eateries! We were here in the school Easter holidays at 1240 and it was fairly busy. There is plenty of elbow room, it's a large space. The soup and scone were very tasty, the quiche was a bit overdone but well intentioned, the waffles and bacon had a crunch to them that may have been unintended. The staff were friendly and the facilities were very nice. I am looking forward to coming back on future visits, it's a lot better than many of Kirkcudbright's other cafes!

A small group of us dined here over the weekend and we had a fantastic time. The food is really well priced and good quality. There was a small mistake but they fixed it promptly and were very kind about it. I had the chicken broth soup and it was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this place to everyone in the area!

Festive meal here today, good but could have been so much better. Waited quite a while (over 35 minutes despite having pre-booked). Turkey Christmas dinner was offered, consisted of very nice slices of Turkey and some quite good cranberry sauce. However having paid just shy of £25 each we expected fresh vegetables and not frozen. No fresh vegetables at all, just a few squashy frozen brussels, slithers of frozen carrots and powdery frozen potatoes, really disappointing. Partially saved by the desserts of cheesecake which was very nice and cheese and biscuits. Service was a little chaotic which didn’t...

My sisters and I came to Clann during a visit to lovely Kirkcudbright for a little light lunch and a cake but after the soup and a sandwich we couldn’t manage anymore because the portion sizes are very generous (this is not a complaint). The broccoli and Stilton and Tattie soups were so tasty and the coffees were also great we are just sorry we didn’t get to sample the cakes as they look DELICIOUS. We do however have a couple more days in this fabulous village so hopefully get time to come back for cake. So all this plus the lovely friendly staff make this place highly...

Highly rate this place ! Last week took my 89 year old mother for lunch . As she doesn’t eat much we decided to share a sandwich. The lovely ladies at Clann split the sandwich on to two plates with salad and crisps . I thought this was an incredibly kind gesture as this has never happened before in any other cafe - Well done Clann ! My mum was thrilled that she had managed to eat all her sandwich. The food is a very high standard and the cakes are mouth watering. Clann is also situated in a great position……..to watch every day life in...
