Festive meal here today, good but could have been so much better. Waited quite a while (over 35 minutes despite having pre-booked). Turkey Christmas dinner was offered, consisted of very nice slices of Turkey and some quite good cranberry sauce. However having paid just shy of £25 each we expected fresh vegetables and not frozen. No fresh vegetables at all, just a few squashy frozen brussels, slithers of frozen carrots and powdery frozen potatoes, really disappointing.    Read moreMy sisters and I came to Clann during a visit to lovely Kirkcudbright for a little light lunch and a cake but after the soup and a sandwich we couldn’t manage anymore because the portion sizes are very generous (this is not a complaint). The broccoli and Stilton and Tattie soups were so tasty and the coffees were also great we are just sorry we didn’t get to sample the cakes as they look DELICIOUS. The lovely ladies at Clann split the sandwich on to two plates with salad and crisps . I thought this was an incredibly kind gesture as this has never happened before in any other cafe - Well done Clann ! My mum was thrilled that she had managed to eat all her sandwich.
