We expected to be really impressed by Feast based on the ratings, but were left a little disappointed. Firstly, we booked a table with a high chair - but on arrival another table had it, and we were told there was only 1 high chair available (although we later saw 2 more outside the back door…) we didn’t get an apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Service seemed a little stressed. We were somewhat disappointed by the food too, especially for the price. £30 for the sharing platter (pictured) seemed steep for what we got. We thought the food was a bit bland. Nevertheless, we appreciated having vegan options on the menu.

Feast is a my favourite cafe in Kirkcudbright. Robyn and Lewie have created such a warm and friendly cafe where everyone feels welcome. I often pop in for a take away coffee, or sit in for lunch or cake. Their food is always fresh and delicious and their coffee is the best in Kirkcudbright! Their staff are friendly and service is quick. Highlights of the menu are the Nourish Bowl, or Birdseed Brunch. And I’ve had too many slices of the Plum Cake to count!

Lovely Café with nice niches, individually furnished, warm and cosy ambiance... Had Hip Pop Cambucha (check it out if you haven't!) and a spicy apple cake, both delicious and peculiar. Also to mention tasty walnut cake and subtile Earl grey tea... To summarize: a feast, nomen est Omen : ) Nice and friendly staff made the visit just perfect and a pleasure to be repeated!

Nice cafe with great food freshly made on the premises. The service was friendly but patchy. There was a young dark haired waitress who was very efficient but run off her feet as she seemed to be doing most of the work taking orders and serving. The other staff member was a tall young waiter who seemed to just hover around the rear serving area and would only occasionally go to a table to take orders. He cleared some of our dishes in between orders but left empty bottles and cups even though I'd placed them at the edge of the table to make it obvious...

We popped in for lunch without knowing anything about this place and everything about it was great.

Interesting menu and reasonably priced - I had the Boujee Beans that were £7.50

My husband rated the flat white as pretty decent and that’s high praise, he rarely has coffee out as it’s almost always disappointing.

What really made it was the service, the place was insanely busy but the waitress handled everything with such a positive attitude.

We live in Dumfries and will definitely come back next time we’re in...
