As soon as October starts… 🧣🪄🔮🧙🏻👻🏴🎃 (Save list below if visiting Scotland for Halloween!) University of Glasgow or Hogwarts? Scotland is my favorite place during autumn, especially with Halloween around the corner. The country has so many beautiful places to adventure & see the autumn leaves changing but it’s also well know for its ghost stories + spirits living amongst Scottish people. One the best cities to enjoy spooky season is Glasgow (the city I live in) a must when visiting during this time of the year. Here are 5 ways to get into the chilling October mood in Glasgow: 👻Head to the famous Glasgow necropolis for a wander. 👻 Stop by the university of Glasgow for Harry Potter vibes. 👻 Take a guided waking tour on a ghosts of Glasgow walk with visits to infamous haunted spots like Scotia bar, Kelvin Hall, cathedral house hotel, Pollok House, & the Scotland street school museum. 👻 Visit Theater Royal for a ghost sighting or Tron theater, one of Glasgow’s most haunted spots. 👻 Glasgow Royal infirmary. With more than 2 centuries of history, there’s been plenty of time for sightings of the supernatural in & around the building. Tag us if you visited any of these spots! Enjoy & stay safe out there…Happy haunting! 👻🎃🧙🏻🏴 #LATGxScotland #SimplyScotland #Glasgow #harrypotter #hogwarts #universityofglasgow #haunted #hauntedscotland #scotland

I recently visited the Soft Play area at Kelvin Hall, and it was a delightful experience for both kids and adults alike! 🌟 The facility is impeccably designed with vibrant colors and a variety of engaging play structures that cater to children of all ages. From climbing frames to slides, and ball pits to interactive play panels, every corner is filled with opportunities for fun and exploration. 🧸🏰 What impressed me the most was the cleanliness and safety of the area. The staff do an excellent job of maintaining a tidy and secure environment, ensuring that parents can relax while their children play. There are also numerous seating areas strategically placed around the play zone, allowing adults to supervise comfortably. 👶🧼 The Soft Play area at Kelvin Hall is spacious, allowing plenty of room for children to run around and burn off energy without feeling crowded. The variety of activities available means that children can enjoy hours of entertainment, from physical challenges to imaginative play. 🏃♂️🎈 Additionally, the staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any needs or concerns. Their welcoming attitude adds to the overall positive experience, making visitors feel valued and cared for. 😊👍 Overall, the Soft Play area at Kelvin Hall is a fantastic destination for families looking for a fun, safe, and engaging place for their children to play. Highly recommended for a day of laughter and adventure! 🌟🏅

Great sports centre however be mindful of the parking facilities. If you park in the near Burnhouse car park the charges are all day every day. Particularly in the evenings, it's not unusual for the wardens to ticket cars between 19.45 - 20.15 in the evenings. As the car park is poorly lit and machines are not lit up at night it's difficult to notice. There is however a small notice placed at the entrance. So if you don't want a £30 parking fine at 7.40ish in the evening remember to pay the piper. Doesn't affect spaces on main road outside car park as they finish at 6.00pm. Also remember the whole area around there is a controlled zone so also be mindful of parking in any unmarked area's.

Not been here for some time and the place has be refurbished since the last time I visited many years ago. The building is of course magnificent. I came here not for the sports but the museum collections. Housed in the Kelvin Hall is a collection resulting from a partnership between the National Library of Scotland and other Glasgow museums. Kelvin Hall now provides a shared collections storage facility with public access called the Kevin Hall Open Collection. So now housed in this one building are the National Library's digital and moving image collections, collections from the Hunterian and other Glasgow Museums. Nice place to to spend an afternoon of eclectic museum collections

Great experience for kids and Adults. This is a welcome addition to the list of activities for kids to do in Glasgow. We have done similar climbing activities in Center Pacs and this was just as fun. The space allocated for it has been used well. You book in advance so it's not over crowded. The staff where really helpful and friendly. It's right next to the soft play and cafe so there was something for the younger kids to do whole big brothers and sisters and climbing. You need to register your kids as glasgow club members before you go.

Probably the only chance to see what was billed as the most complete 67 million year old t rex skeleton in the world, there was lots of interactive exhibits which my daughter enjoyed and there was lots of information about t rex 🦖, the entry fee was really steep, I paid £22 for me and my 6 year old daughter, £14 for an adult and £8 for a child, there was no free parking either
