Title: A Slice of Italy in Broomhill — RONZIO Delivers
From the moment we stepped through the doors of RONZIO in Broomhill, we knew this was going to be something special. The warm welcome from the staff set the tone — sincere, friendly, attentive — and when you combine that with the cosy yet elegant décor, you get the perfect atmosphere for an Italian meal that feels both relaxed and a little indulgent.
Food: Absolutely delightful. The pasta was cooked just right (not an easy feat) — silky and al dente. The sauces were rich and flavourful without being heavy or overpowering. The starters, were fresh and full of character; you could taste the quality in every bite. For mains, the dishes balanced authenticity with creativity: the ingredients clearly high grade, the presentation appealing. And the desserts? A perfect finish — whether you choose the tiramisu, panna cotta, or gelato, you’ll leave sweetly satisfied.
Service: Top-notch. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu, generous with recommendations, but never pushy. Drinks (wine, cocktails, etc.) were well chosen to complement the food. We never felt rushed; instead, it felt like they wanted us to enjoy ourselves and savour every course.
Ambience: Elegant but unpretentious. Soft lighting, nice background music, and a layout that allows for intimacy without being stuffy. Great for dates, dinners with friends, or family meals. Clean, welcoming, with just the right touch of Italian charm.
Value: Considering the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere, the prices are more than fair. You get what you pay for — excellent. Portions are generous enough that you don’t leave hungry, but refined enough that nothing feels sloppy or excessive. ⸻

Read moreBeen in Ronzio a few times over the past year or two and enjoyed both drinks and food. However after visiting on Friday, we were not seen to by our waiter for over 20 minutes, but also there was a further long delay on drinks being brought out, with several others being served before us. We ordered steak ciabatta and the Parma ham ciabatta, with soup. Steak ciabatta which is advertised as coming with mushrooms maybe had 1 sliced bit of mushroom, never mind the stale bread that hadn’t been toasted. The Parma ham was inedible and my SO couldn’t even eat half of it. We ordered the tomato soup, which came out cold - as did the table next to us. They took the soup back which took a further 10 minutes and at that point we were more than half way through our food. Soup came out piping hot clearly freshly taken out microwave, just unacceptable. And to top it all off - a girl who appeared to be a team leader or manager could be heard raising her voice at a chef about getting “more staff on the close!”. Just not okay and really ruined the...

First time visit to this great wee busy coffeehouse. It's a great stop for a cake and a coffee, breakfast or a nice lunch. Right across from Kelvingrove so definately recommend pre or post visit.
Staff were great and very helpful at all points through the meal even rearranging a table so we could sit inside as the kids were complaining about the cold (It was 22C!).
Menu was great and easily navigated though no kids offerings (Not an issue as we split an adult pasta portion easily). Portions were a good size and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. One party member didn't like the soup on first taste and the staff cheerfully offered a replacement and we weren't charged. Pastas were devoured as was the avocado toast and frittata.
Coffee was great, kids loved the icecream and the cakes...
