Carl was the skipper who drove the boat and Noel was the tour guide as such.

We sat on the bottom so it was a bit noisy due to the engine so couldn't always hear what Noel was saying but the boat trip was absolutely amazing. As it was our first time we wasn't sure about sitting on the top of the boat hence why we sat on the bottom, but next time we will.fo to the front or sit on top.

We saw seals and baby seals on the rocks. We also saw the Dolphins which also swam beside the boat which was fantastic.

Later on we saw 2 sea Eagles that was in flight then landed on top of the Mountains.

We then saw more seals further on a Island.

Further on the trip we got to see 2 Minky Whales briefly which was a experience.

Whenever we saw any animals they would stop the boat and also turn round so both sides could see and take pictures.

The trip was informative and also saw some beautiful scenery also the Summer Isles.. We come to Scotland every year and we have already said we will go back on the trip next year

The cost was £95 for 2 adults and worth it.

Book in advance is recommended You have to be there 20 minutes prior to sailing but we got there 40mins in advance...

Signed up on the website the night before and got on the 10am Sunday cruise. Ample safety instructions were given and off we went. I was surprised how knowledgeable and passionate the guide was about the conservation of the area. It was impressive. Along the trip we didn’t spot any dolphins or whales but saw a number of seals, in and out of the water. We also saw some sea eagles, apparently rare, some rare breeds of ponies, and a lot of jellyfish. That doesn’t include the fascinating coastline and small islands we saw. It was cold in the front of the boat, so be prepared and bring gloves just in case. This was June. If you didn’t want to brave the cold there were indoor seats available in a heated area. A bathroom was also on board. In short, a good 2+ hour trip If you’re...

Absolutely first rate experience with these guys! They were helpful with booking and boarding info and then the cruise itself was unforgettable. We had wonderful sightings of gannets diving really close to the boat, great views of White Tailed Eagle and the dolphins around the boat were incredible. The team on the boat were excellent in getting their timing right on when to move on, even if it meant leaving a sighting. They always came up trumps with new stuff at just the right time.

The commentary was very interesting too. The guys clearly knew their stuff and communicated it brilliantly. I would say it was a trip of a lifetime, but I suspect we'll do it all again when we're next up in Ullapool...from...

What can I say about this boat trip.... Incredible, granted we had perfect weather and the wildlife was absolutely playing ball, we saw 2 pods of common dolphins, 2 white tailed eagles, seals and possibly 3 minke whales! The crewman's commentary was fantastic, witty and informative. Telling us tales about the local area, wildlife and conservation as well as dropping in the odd laugh. The boat is the perfect platform, believe me I've done quite a few boat trips, it's so stable and incredibly quick (we were nearly late to return) the upper deck makes spotting wildlife easier although we stood at the front the whole trip. Thank you Shearwater & crew for an amazing trip!

A really amazing wildlife trip out to the Summer islands through Loch Broom with a couple of hosts who know so much about the areas wildlife and history , it was worth it just to hear the many stories that were told during the 2 1/2 hour trip but we also got to see harbour seals , porpoises and plenty of seabirds , unfortunately no sea eagles or dolphins on this trip but maybe next time , wrap up warm as even in June it gets cold out in the open seas. small tip if you want to hear the commentary clearly dont sit on the bottom deck near the outboard engines , we had to move upstairs to hear the tannoy.
