Absolutely fantastic. A wonderful, relaxed, spotlessly clean space looking out down Loch Broom. The attention to detail with the food, service, the lovely chairs, the artwork....is fantastic. The hot chocolates, made with Equadorian, Madagascan or Venezuelan chocolate buttons to your % coco preferences are incredible. The beetroot burger and salad were absolutely delicious, and very reasonably priced. The staff are delightful, and appear genuinely interested in whether you've enjoyed your meal / drink. The story of how Cafe Margot came into being is printed on the menus and is a fascinating and lovely read that gave me something to do that didn't involve logging on to the wifi ( which works very well FYI). Read moreWonderful find! Excellent coffee and sandwiches. Ice cream made on premises and has won awards after only one year of trading. Everything is hand made to order so not the place to run and run out with a sandwich. We spent a happy hour chatting with the friendly staff. We liked the philosophy of the place, which seemed to be: top ingredients prepared with love!
PS Just seen the review below about bringing your own alcohol. The reviewer must be confusing this place with somewhere else, as there is no eat-in facility. Why would you want to bring alcohol into a take away...
Read moreWe stumbled on this place after the kids asked for ice cream. I googled and thankfully ignored a couple of the more prominent but worse reviewed locations.
Here they make their own flavours and have some that are very unique. As much as I enjoy the normal brands it’s great to see somewhere doing something different and pulling it off.
The flat white was also very nice and the server was friendly and very helpful.
I wish I had tried the sea buckthorn...
