Shepherd House Garden, Inveresk — Attraction in Scotland

This is an absolutely wonderful garden with beautiful planting, superb colour combinations and a thoughtful layout. It was so peaceful wandering around on a sunny Tuesday in early May and although some of the tulips were starting to go over their colours were as vibrant as ever, many of them contrasting with the blues of Brunnera and Camassias in the woodland area and, cleverly with the blues of Forget-me-nots closer to the house. Went to see the snowdrops but in fact lots of other flowers out too despite it being Feb! Beautifully constructed garden with sculptures, pond, hairy hens wandering about. Lovely cards and book of the garden also available. Met one of the owners, Sir Charles still digging away at 93. £5 honesty box entry for Live Music charity.
