First time here and I can assure you, I will return. Firstly, we (myself and the other half) arrived a good 30 minutes earlier than we had anticipated for our booking, with zero fuss, we were seated and given a few minutes to browse the menu. The welcome at the door, given our early arrival was great. Smiles and pleasantries galore. Ordering drinks was bliss, quick and easy. I would say a small cocktail menu would be a great addition. The other half would have enjoyed that. Drinks came quickly. Shortly after drinks arrived, our server arrived with a tray full of amazing cuts of beef. He explained the cuts; the flavours and the textures of each variant of meat. So for for a rookie who has no real idea of what kind of meat to go for, it was pleasant. I however aimed straight for the T-bone ( ordered and delivered medium rare as requested). My girlfriend chose to go for the fillet and steak fillet which did on our receipt, specify that it was a 'Fillet with WHOLE octopus' .. two small tentacles doesn't qualify as a "Whole" octopus in my opinion. Maybe re-evaluate that small issue. The octopus main that the other half had was tasty according to her and the steak cooked medium as she'd requested. We both had a side each, one of steak chips and another for creamed spinach. Both were full of flavour. We had forgotten to order sauce for dinner, so when we'd asked if we could order some, the server came back super fast with the sauces of choice.. again, top service. When we were originally welcomed and seated, the gent who guided us to our table had asked if there was an occasion, to which I had mentioned it was my girlfriend's birthday. He wished her a very happy birthday and the meal went on. Once I'd asked for the bill, they came back shortly after with a slice of cheesecake with a nice birthday message written in chocolate sauce.... All whilst playing happy birthday through the speakers in the restaurant. All in, value for money was great. Service was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly most importantly. Perfect evening. Only other thing I'd like to mention was the temperature of the restaurant. It was stuffy and the windows had steamed up considerably. Thankful we were sat kinda near the door, so every time someone came or went, the breeze was appreciated. Other than that, genuinely a pleasure to have gone there for a decent meal.

Parilla Bueno Ayres has been recommended to me a number of times so I thought I’d take my wife here for her birthday. Now I know why I was recommended this place - it was fantastic! The restaurant is not large but it has character. The service was good, the lady was slightly awkward, but Tonmoy stole the show! He was welcoming, conversational and very knowledgeable with the menu. It was much to our surprise that he had only been working there for 1 year. He clearly has a gift. Prior to us choosing from the menu, Tonmoy came round to the table with all the cuts of meats and provided a description of each one, giving a recommendation on the doneness. We decided to have pan rustico for starters which is rustic bread with chimichurri. This was lovely! I got this Argentinian tea which was not bad. I am glad I tried it. For mains we shared a Tomahawk with a side of herb and garlic cauliflower and steak fries. I’ve never had a Tomahawk and this was delicious. We asked for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. My wife ate more of the outside of the steak as the centre was little too rare for her liking but I loved it all! Is it now my favourite steak? Certainly not, but I did really enjoy it. The cauliflower was also tasty and we had good quality fries. We really liked the peppercorn and chimichurri sauce. For dessert I got the exotic bomba which is a fruit, nut and ice cream bowl. This was incredible and was a great palette cleanser. My wife got the churros which she enjoyed. They even made it special by playing happy birthday and decorated her dessert plate. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our dining experience here. Food was excellent and Tonmoy was top class! If it wasn’t so expensive then I would be eating here all the time. It’s good to know that they have a restaurant opening in Loanhead which is nearer for us. It’s nice to know we have a local restaurant that we can go to for special occasions. 5 Stars!! Bravo bravo 👏

Stepping into Parilla Argentinian in Musselburgh is like being transported to the heart of Buenos Aires. Having lived in Argentina, I can confidently say that this restaurant offers an authentic culinary experience that rivals some of the best parillas back home. The moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance reminiscent of a traditional Argentinian steakhouse. The aroma of sizzling meats wafts through the air, instantly transporting you to the bustling streets of Argentina. The menu is a celebration of Argentine cuisine, featuring a wide array of classic dishes that are both familiar and comforting. The empanadas are perfectly crafted, with a flaky crust that gives way to a flavorful filling. Each bite is a reminder of the street vendors in Buenos Aires, serving up these delicious treats. Of course, the star of the show is the asado, and Parilla Argentinian does not disappoint. The selection of meats is exceptional, cooked to perfection on their traditional parrilla grill. The beef is tender and juicy, with that unmistakable smoky flavor that only a true parilla can achieve. The chimichurri sauce, made in-house, is the perfect complement, adding a fresh and tangy kick to each mouthful. The staff at Parilla Argentinian are incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and making sure that every guest feels like part of the family. Their passion for Argentine culture and cuisine shines through in their service, adding to the overall experience. Parilla Argentinian is a gem that brings the spirit and flavors of the country to life. For anyone longing for a taste of home or seeking to explore the vibrant world of Argentine cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. It’s a dining experience that leaves you craving more and feeling as though you've just taken a delightful journey to the heart of Argentina.
