Poseidon Fish Bar - Abbey Lane — Restaurant in Sheffield

I came in tonight around 9pm and placed a very large order. I was welcomed by a lady with pink hair who was very polite and friendly. As my order was so large there was a queue behind and she was trying her hardest to serve fast and efficiently Unfortunately a very rude man stormed in and was being very impatient due to the waiting times. He was shouting at her and this obviously made her feel very uncomfortable. Nobody should have to tolerate that torrent of abuse while trying their hardest to just get orders out. To make matters worse his drunk wife felt the need to get in on the action, also to act rude and aggressive towards the server. I just want to say how grateful I am for my order tonight and how sorry I am that in this day and age people can't just go to work and not have to deal with disrespectful customers and put up with the grief what I experienced tonight! Thank you for serving me and as it was my first visit on an impulse drive by to the area we really enjoyed our food 10 out of 10 we will be visiting again shortly. Decided to try here again after being put off by the previous older gentleman (grey hair) who always worked on Mondays. He was extremely rude to my wife one night for no reason at all and since that we have not been in. I don’t actually think I’ve ever seen him smile. We can only come in on Mondays so we had to stop coming unfortunately because of him. We have been driving past on the way home most Monday nights and noticed he hasn’t been in for a while so we decided to give it another go.. I was served by the lovely older lady who explained he wasn’t working there anymore and had moved on. Absolutely amazing service and really really polite and friendly with a positive attitude and fantastic customer service skills. Made me and my wife feel welcome which the previous manager didn’t. We had fish cake and chips and really enjoyed them. First time customer. People serving were nice enough, shop looked nice and clean and fair sized portion was served promptly. Knocked 2 stars off because my order was incomplete, but only noticed after I got home and they don't have delivery drivers so unable to complete my order unless I went back to get the missing item myself at cost to me as was a fair drive and back for the sake of a pot of curry and the chips would've gone cold by that time anyway. What prompted my review though was the fact that not only did they forget my curry, they forgot the salt and vinegar on the chips. (If they put it on it wasnt enough to taste it) And who can honestly enjoy chippy chips without the salt and vinegar! Otherwise they'd have been lovely.
