That place — Restaurant in Sheffield

After hearing about this cafe I went with friends for lunch. This is a small cafe on a busy main road in a shopping area of Woodseats. However that doesn't really set the scene, as the inside has a bistro vibe. Nicely decorated, menu on the wall chalkboard and regularly changing 'specials'. They serve breakfast, sandwiches and more substantial dishes. The atmosphere is cosy, friendly and there were lots of customers. I opted for a fish finger sandwich served with mushy peas, salad, slaw, and homemade parsnips crisps. No chips and they weren't missed!!! One of my friends also chose the sandwich and the other friend had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. There was a choice of bread and all the food came served by a friendly member of staff. Water is available from a 'self-help' water container. We all enjoyed the food and none was left. So nice to have a local cafe which makes us feel like we've been out for a treat and not just filling our empty bodies or calling for lunch whilst working. We will...

Delicious range of sandwiches and cakes/treats. Slightly frustrating that its currently cash only due to wired card machine? Apparently this is due to expense of wireless ones however companies like SumUp and others charge pence per transaction with zero hardware cost so this shouldn't really be an issue. As the local cash machine was out of action they have lost my business on two occasions in the past two weeks so surely this is costing them in lost sales? Also, consider publishing the menu so we can order by phone in advance perhaps? I guess its all a C-19 temporary thing. Run a cable...

Lovely decore. Place was full so we thought it a good sign. Shame about the breakfast. we ordered 2 small breakfast. Took ages to arrive. Just thought they're busy. Had some soggy unidentifiable triage on the plate. my egg was dried up. It put me off the rest if it. My husband faired better but also didn't like whatever the soggy triangle was.
